With a growl, the wolf launched in front of me and caught the mutated rat square in the neck and, with a vicious shake of its head, broke the rat's neck. Wthe final rat was dead, we had won. Then i had a thought.
"We could stay here for the night." I thought out loud.
Yes, Said the wolf. we can.
Then i slumped to the floor right where i stood, completely drained, and slept. The last thing i saw before falling asleep was a big furry head swing slowly in front of mine and felt a wet nose press against my forehead.
Goodnight little one. I heard her say, and then i was asleep.
