I Will Be Of Use

3'rd Person P.O.V

A black haired girl in her real body clicked her tongue. It was Miketsu and she looked at where she was. 'I can make it,' she though, calculating the speed it would take to go back. She started to run, hoping she could go faster and faster. Meanwhile, HQ was in chaos. "Tachikawa, what's going on," Shinoda asked. "Miketsu-chan and I met Miwa and battled with him, they were both warped away. I'm going for Mikumo now 'cause I knew I would probably get warped away. Miketsu-chan also lost her trion body's legs."

"What! Miwa, is this true?"

"If it's about the c-rank girl yeah." Shinoda sighed and looked at where Osamu was said to be on the monitor's map. 'I hope things don't get to bad.'

Tachikawa looked at his radar and made it focus more. 'Mikumo is ahead huh,' he thought. Meanwhile, Osamu was running away from Mira. 'Just a bit more,' he thought. A minute passed and the situation didn't change, or so everyone thought. That was only until Tachikawa was attacked from behind. Hyrein was there, and he had caught up. Osamu was trying his best to run and was slowly getting more tired. Then there was Miketsu, who everyone thought was resting until

A roundhouse kick connected with Hyrein's head. "Go to Mikumo Tachikawa-san," Miketsu shouted. Tachikawa quickly turned to run and Hyrein who got irritated by the girl was about to send birds after Tachikawa but, he was punched in the stomach. "I may not be suited for the battlefield but I will be of use," Miketsu said. Meanwhile Tachikawa had finally made it to Osamu, but he was too late. Osamu was stabbed by mira's spikes, in his real body. Tachikawa clicked his tongue and sighed. 'I didn't make it,' he thought irritatingly. Hyrein and Miketsu, who weren't aware of the situation, continued to fight, Hyrein becoming irritated for each moment that passed. After all, Miketsu wasn't affected by his attacks and though not damage was done, he felt the pain of the impact. Mira came out of a wormhole all of a sudden, a cube in hand. "I have retrieved the golden goose. However, the systems were infiltrated so we have to leave immedia-"

Bam

Miketsu was back in her trion body, leg less, shooting at Mira's hand as the female dropped the cube. Hyrein saw this and was about to send birds again but was interrupted. "Trigger off," the girl shouted as she ran to land another kick. However, the 2 neighbours already retreated. Inside the antagonists' ship, the 2 neighbours were talking. "That wasn't even the golden goose," said Hyrein. The 2 just noticed that, which meant the strategy worked.

Flashback

Osamu and Replica had decided on their course of action, taking action immediately, but they weren't the only ones strategizing. 'Isn't that... Amatori-san's trion.' This was Miketsu's thoughts as she questioned this quietly. Miketsu didn't have a side effect, this was something she was aware of but she was very smart and observant. It was a baseless observation but she felt it. Then maybe, I will be able to take use of this. Miketsu knew that there was a high risk of the opponents to notice the possible hand-off so she decided that she wouldn't take a risk. 'If I can just make them not see the cube long enough, then' she thought. This will work, she wouldn't become a hindrance.

Present Time

Miketsu knew her duty didn't didn't end there, or at least to her. She needed to know the situation with Tachikawa so she ran, trying her best to breath. After a battle in both bodies, anyone would've been exhausted and she was no exception. She was especially mentally tired as she wasn't exposed to battle as a combatant before. She saw Tachikawa, a little distance away, saying something through his earpiece. She looked for Osamu and saw him, blood-covered and unconscious. She met eyes with Tachikawa and nodded, quickly going to Osamu. She pulled out hand sanitizer and put some on her hands as she got out a few tissues and a cloth. She wiped of the blood to the best of her abilities, and tightly tied the cloth around Osamu's wound. It was made known the battle was over as the paramedics came to take Osamu. Miketsu told the rough coordinates of Chika's cube, which sped up the cleanup process. She was greatly thanked by Shinoda, and was sent home to rest. Tachikawa however had different thoughts. 'Maybe I will have her join our unit.'

Time Skip

Miketsu was called to Shinoda's office a week after the invasion, and Miketsu was nervous. Was she in trouble, what did she do. Why was she called. Her nerves were on point and she couldn't think of anything else. She walked through the automatic doors, only to be met with confetti. Miketsu flinched, then blinked. She opened her eyes to be met with Tachikawa standing next to Shinoda, who was on a spinny chair. "Miketsu-tain, congratulations, you have been promoted b-rank!" Miketsu blinked then widened her eyes. She was about to say something but Tachikawa interrupted her. "I forgot to formally say this beforehand but thanks. You were a good support as a shooter. You got enough points with a special reward, along with prize money. The special reward was for many things but mainly the fact you supported Amatori and the destruction of the Rabbits. You earned it Miketsu-chan." Tachikawa grinned and Miketsu stared at the 2 males blankly whispering their names. "I don't think I deserve such a-"

"Just take it Miketsu-tain," Shinoda interrupted.

"Like your branch director said, take it." Tachikawa had a soft smile, as did Shinoda. The 2 looked at her, Tachikawa staring into the younger girl's eyes. She breathed out and opened her mouth, after a bit of thought. "If that's the case then I will accept but... is it possible to transfer a few points to Amatori-san as well." Shinoda smiled at this and shook his head. "There's no need for that. Kuga-kun has already transferred his points to her."

"Oh, I see. Then. Thank you, I shall take my leave now." Miketsu bowed and left, Tachikawa deciding to walk behind her. "Ne Miketsu-chan, why did you suggest giving your points to Amatori?"

"Because, it would be better if she was a b-rank with the bail-out function."

'I see. Well, see ya'."

"Ano, thank you Tachikawa-sa."

"Hm, for what?"

"For saving me in the Rabbit situation."

"You're such a good kid," Tachikawa said, hugging her from behind. Miketsu blushed at this and flailed her arms a bit. "See ya' then," Tachikawa said and left, leaving Miketsu alone in the hall with a light blush.
