(This chapter picks up exactly where we left off)

-25 yr old male, unconscious for ten minutes, possible brain bleed- the paramedics went on...
-Okay let's take him up for a CT and we shall see- I said

While we were waiting for the scans, I could feel someone staring at me. Of course it had to be the only person in the room besides me, Link.
-What are you looking at?- I said aggressively but without any intention of making it sound aggressive at all.
-Nothing- he said, still smiling. That smile was now starting to irritate me.
-Well then why were you staring at me?
-I wasn't staring at you, I got caught up in a thought. Maybe we could be friends.
-Friends?
-Yeah! You know, two people who hang out with each other, get on well, do fun activities, share their secrets with each other...
-One: I don't hang out. Two, I don't share my secrets. Three, the only fun activities I have time to do are baking cookies and sewing costumes for my kid Zola.
-You- have a kid?
-Four, actually
-Oh- he said surprised.
-Is that a problem for being friends?- I said sarcastically
-Oh absolutely not- he said- I already told you I liked kids. So, friends or not?
-Maybe- I said thinking about it.- but just good friends
-Look I'm not trying to hit on you, I just want a friend.
-Well Richard Webber is nice, Dr. Deluca too- I said
-But what is wrong with having a female friend?
-Nothing- I said
-Okay then, friends?
-I guess it's not a no
-So it's a yes
-Maybe- I said- Friend.

This guy was kinda funny actually, I could use a friend, not that I don't already have a person(alex), but there was nothing wrong with having a friend. He seemed nice and all, so I figured I'd give him a chance.

-So what about tonight at Joe's?
-I don't do late drinks, haven't you heard I have four kids?
- I'm not deaf, but can't mommy have a friend?
-Oh don't call me mommy.
-Sorry, my bad. Wait the scans are up...
-Yeah we will have to operate on him. I'll page Amelia asap.
-Okay, see you at Joe's or not?
-I don't think so, maybe another time.
-Okay, here is my number, just in case- he said. Yes, still smiling. What was different was that he winked at me this time. Was this some kind of seduction game? I didn't know, but I was enjoying my alone time for sure.  After all, friends are just friends, right?
