They had Honey. It wouldn't take much for Nova to free her but it was practically impossible to do without blowing her cover. Nova reassesed the situation, Ruby had the barel of her dart gun pointed right at Honey, while Adrian was working on drawing hand cuffs. Smokescreen was taking a sick day and monarch was still incapacitated. If Nova could knock the gun out of Ruby's hand Queen Bee would be able to escape easily, she sensed that Honey knew this too. They made eye contact. Then out of no where came a giant bee. But Nova recognized it as one of the most harmless ones in Queen Bee's arsenal. Nova was ready. As soon as the benign insect landed on her arm Nova let out a shreik and stumbled into the Red Assasin. They both tumbled onto the pavement but Ruby's gun skidded about three feet away. Completely unreachable. Now, without the gun trained on her Honey easily jerked away from Adrian and and was out of sight before anyone could react.
"What were you thinking" yelled Ruby.
"I have appipaphobia" said Nova trying to give a valid excuse.
"What?" Asked Adrian walking over to join them.
"The fear of bees" Nova explained.
"Wow the amazing Insomnia has a fear?" Ruby teased. One cannot be brave who has no fear Nova thought, but was smart enough not to say it outright, she was under enough suspicion already. All of a sudden Adrian groaned.
"What are we going to tell the rest of the renegades?" He raised a vaild point, it would be pretty embarrassing if everyone heard that they had almost captured an Anarchist.
" we don't haaaave to tell anyone" Ruby suggested. Nova was surprised Ruby almost always adhered to the rules. Her reaction probably would have been different it they had just glimpsed her and she had gotten away, but they had had her at gun point, handcuffs nearly on when she had escaped.
"I agree" said Nova "it's not like we found anything that matters, it's not like we found anything at all." It was true they had simply seen Honey enter a clothing boutique and purchase a fancy dress. Not even anything sinister, she had even payed for it. But ever since the capture of Ace anarchy the Anarchists had gone silent. This had been the Renegades' first sighting in weeks. It was hard for Nova not to go out as Nightmare anymore, she was once again the most wanted person in all of galton (AN: is that correct?) she could never relax not even when she was safely disguised by her Renegade uniform.
"Come on guys," Adriam said clearing away the awkward cloud of shame silence that had formed above the group. "Let's head back to HQ"
