Nova bounded to a stop outside her "home". Even after all this time of living here Nova still didn't have any attachment to this house, except for one black and white vase filled with wilted gray flowers. When Nova entered Honey and Leroy were sested on the couch like nothing was wrong then Nova realized that they had no idea.
"They are going to neutralize Ace!" Nova said. Cyanide and Queen Bee turned to stare at Nova.
"What do you mean Nightmare?" Asked Cyanide.
"I mean that I just got a alert from the Renegades saying that they will be giving Ace Agent N tomorrow morning" Honey and Cyanide were stunned. Leroy was the first to come to his senses.
"We need to make a plan" he said.
"Yes of course" said Honey shaking of her stunned haze "Nova will be there she will be perfectly positioned to rescue him, she would lose her cover obviously but we would have our leader back"
"We can't risk it we have work for months to get this far, we will only have one chance to do something big, it needs to be something that will collapse the Renegades" said Cyanide.
"There is one more variable" said Nova hating to be the barer of bad news twice. "Adrian is the sentinel"
"Wow sweetheart I feel so sorry for you, having your crush end up being well... him" Honey finished with disgust.
"He was not my crush!" Said Nova indignantly.
"Did you or did you not kiss him" said Honey clearly teasing her now.
"Relax you don't have to kill him" said Honey "one of us can do it and with Agent N as a variable, killing someone isn't the only way to get them out of the way" that was probably supposed to make Nova feel better but the fact that she was half dating the person who had captured her uncle and wanted her dead was more disturbing than anything else she could imagine.
"Back to the more pressing things" Cyanide said.
"Yeah, like saving Ace!" Said Nova releived that she no longer had to deal with that embarrassing topic. "We can... what can we do?"
"You can go into that presentation heavily armed and perfectly positioned to rescue him. But do not attempt anything unless you are a hundred percent sure that it will work."
"And what if I can't what if it is too dangerous, what if i'm too late" Nova asked "What if I can't pull the trigger" suddenly a thousand shodows melted into Phobia who was now standing in the doorway.
"And that is your worst fear" she hissed
