Enjoy :):)

Today was a half day at school, it was really boring too, nothing exciting happened, my class just watched a "Vines that you can show in class" compilation for the 22 minutes of class. It was really fun. After school I met up with Simon, he said hugged his friends and told them goodbye, I begged him with my hand to hurry up and that we needed to go before traffic gets bad.

On our way home, we stopped at Walmart to get some things to make cookies. We didn't know what kind of cookies to make, so we spent about 10 minutes in my car looking on Pinterest to find some recipes. Eventually, we found a "Soft cookie cut out sugar cookie" recipe, it even came with a frosting/icing recipe too. After that we finally left my car and went into the store to get a cart, I cleaned the handle with a wet wipe and threw it into the little garbage, and then I set my purse down and got my phone out with the ingredients list in front of me. I pushed the cart and told Simon what to get, we almost had everything, we just had a hard time finding the corn syrup for the icing, but after a few minutes of looking, we found it on the bottom shelf, where neither of us could see it. I had to get down and get it since Simon really can't with his height and with his "Bursitis" it makes it a little difficult for him to bend down to get anything. We got everything we needed and went to the checkout, while I was paying for it, he was putting the bags into the cart. We went back to my car and loaded everything into the trunk, he put the cart back and then we went back home.

We got everything into the house and took a little break before we started our cookies. He went up to his room to facetime with his friends and do homework, and I went up to my room to change into something that I wouldn't care if it got dirty. After about an hour we both went down to start making the cookies, we put out the ingredients and started to mix everything together. Once we decided that the cookies were ready to be made and cut out into shapes, we cleared off the table and spread out some flour so the dough doesn't stick. We laid them down and started rolling it out, getting it thin, but still thick enough to have some cookie to it. Before we started cutting anything, we sprayed cooking spray on the cookie cutters to make sure that they don't stick to the dough. We started cutting out little Santa shapes, some stars and little circles to make ornaments with, I even found some little reindeer ones too. We planned on making about 50 cookies, so it took us a while to finish cutting them out.

Once the cookies were all cut out, we put them in the oven for about 10 minutes at about 350 degrees. While we waited, we decided to clean up a little bit before the cookies are done. There was a ding from the oven, signaling us that they were done. I took them out and put them on a cooling rack, I set a timer for 10 minutes and while they were cooling, I decided I was going to start the frosting. While I did that, Simon was up in his room doing his homework, while I was trying to find the corn syrup that took me forever to find. I called Simon down when the timer for when the cookies went off, he came running down, a little too excited to be frosting cookies. We sat down at the table and took our time icing each one, especially the Santas, and for the gingerbread men we tried to put different faces on each one.

After nearly an hour, we were done frosting the cookies and set them back on the rack to dry. They looked really good, we even ate one instead of letting it dry, the one I had was really, really good, making me want more than one. But I was patient and waited. While we waited for them to dry, Simon and I broke out the UNO cards and decided to play a little game. I won the first and second round, I let him win the third round, "You let me win that time didn't you." I just giggled and pretended like I didn't.

The cookies were done and we decided to eat a few more cookies before putting them away in the little Christmas cookie tin. After we had enough cookies, we both decided to watch some more Christmas movies until dad gets home. Simon sat in dads recliner with his Christmas blanket with little penguins on it, and I laid on the couch with a blanket that had puppies with Santa hats on it.

Soon dad came home, "I smell cookies." He said full of enthusiasm and excitement, I got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen, "We practically slaved over these, so DON'T eat them all on us." Dad gave a light chuckle as he opened the tin and took out a Santa shaped cookie and bit into it, head first, "And you guys did this by yourselves?" he asked with a hint of joke like suspicion, "No I lied, we had Santa's elves come and make them," I said with obvious sarcasm, "No, of course, we made them ourselves." I said with almost the same amount of sarcasm.

Dad went to his home office to do some more work on either his actual job or his blog, I went back to the couch to watch some more movies with Simon, who I soon found out was in a deep sleep. I enjoyed some more movies for a few more hours, I looked over at the clock and realized it was almost 7 pm. I woke Simon up from his deep sleep to help him up to his bed so he could sleep in his room, and after I pushed his heavy ass up the stairs and into his bed, I even tucked him in his blankets too.

I went to my room to get ready for bed, I took off whatever makeup was on my face and put my Lilo and Stitch pajama pants and shirt on and crawled into bed, I stayed up for at least another hour texting my friends and watching youtube. Before went to bed I sent my streaks and put my phone on the charger and went to bed.

I was about to fall asleep, but then my stomach growled, "One more cookie." I said to myself as I got out of bed and went to get another cookie. After my snack, I went back to bed, and eventually falling asleep.
