25 days of Christmas writing prompts

Day 24, Mistletoe

Ya know what, this chapter could also be considered yesterdays to but like whatever.

Today my group of friends and I are going to be having a little get together at our friends Max and Zach's house, we usually do this the 23rd instead of Christmas Eve, but there were some issues going on and we moved it to today.

We all had to bring a food item, so Jerome and I were going out to get something from the store. We walked around a bit, trying to decide what to bring, but eventually, I settled on just grabbing a cheese and sausage plate and he grabbed a veggie tray.

We left and went to their house. Zach was the one to open the door, I picked him up and gave him a tight hug, and when I put him down Jerome gave him a hug to. There were some other foods on a table where I'm just going to assume the other guys were here already. The house was even decorated and some light music in the background. We went down to the basement where everyone else was, I gave my each of my friends a hug and a kiss on the cheek and talked for a bit, Jerome just sat on the couch, already nearly exhausted from just a little bit of excitement.

Soon we started playing Mario Kart on the Wii, I won 2 times, Jerome one once, Max won at least 5 times and Zach also once, our other 3 friends decided not to play, but instead, they speculated and added commentary and it was actually really funny.

After about 4 more rounds we went up to get some food. The food was really good, Max and Zach's mom made some really good potato salad for us, which I'm glad that I didn't get instead of the cheese and sausage thing. We all ate and talked at the table, lots of laughing and wheezing, we even discussed what colleges we'd like to go to and what we'd like to study, even though we're only sophomore's, we already started thinking about this kind of stuff.

Soon we all finished eating, and then we went back downstairs to play some more games, after a while I had to go to the bathroom, so I went upstairs and did my business. But downstairs, our friends came up with an evil plan, Jerome even helped too. They quickly strung up a fake thing of mistletoe and had Jerome stand under it, they all ran back to the couch and got into a "natural" position, Jerome just stood and waited.

When I came down I stood next to Jerome, they were all smiling at us, even Jerome had a devilish yet handsome smile, "What?" I said, extremely confused as to what was going on, I looked at Jerome, who was looking up at something, which made me look up, "Really?" I said as looked back to them with a smile on my face, "How about a kiss for the guys?" Jerome said letting out a little giggle, "Why not." I said and then I bent down a bit to kiss him, we stayed like that for a few seconds, the guys letting out a bunch of "awes" and some with their phones out taking a video or whatever.

We finished our kiss, I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and hugged him, after we did that I released him and we went back to the couch and started playing Wii sports now. "Ya know, if you guys wanted to see us kiss so bad you could've just asked." I said as I was waiting for my turn, "Yeah but then it wouldn't be as fun."
