A few days have passed since the trial. Kazlar and his squad are sticking around until they find their recruit. Absil has been disappearing everyday for about three hours. He's probably with Crimson most of that time. Clover has been practicing day in and day out ever since the lake. Me, I've been thinking, thinking about that dream. It won't go away like everything else in life. It haunts me, tells me to do something that I don't know how to do. It scares me. I was walking down to the lake to get some fresh air. Everyone has been hoarding around me to ask how I took down a Guillotine by myself. I think it's not that big of a deal. I looked at the ripples at the shore rush up the land only to get scared and go back down. It was calming in my mind, or at least it was until Kazlar showed up. "Good evening Shadow." He said in his subtle voice. "Commander Kazlar." I said trying to focus on the shore. " Isn't it beautiful out here.." I cut him off while trying to keep my cool. " Enough small talk. What am I hunting?" I told him. "Nothing. I am here to invite you to the Darkwood Rangers." I was shocked. I didn't think I would be one of the Rangers. I guess my speechless response made it clear i wasn't sure. "Think about it. You will find me at my tent." And with that, he left. It was just me with the quiet shore. I was debating with myself. Should I go or should I stay. "Go!" One side yelled at me. "No!Stay!" The other one yelled back. "Go! Go and find her killer!Get revenge then return!" Side one yelled. "No! Stay! Who will protect Clover when you leave? What if something happens?" Side two responded. The debate went on for hours. When I stopped, it was already night. I had to go give the commander my answer. There I was, outside his tent. I made up my mind. He greeted me as I walked in the tent."Do you have your answer?" He asked. "I do." I replied. "I want to join the Darkwood Rangers." He smiled. "Excellent. We leave tomorrow."
