iI gently set the girl down on the ground. My hands were covered in so much blood. It's as if I ripped throough someone's chest. There was no time to think about that. I had to make sure Clover was safe. I dashed into the woods leaving the town to tend for the girl. No matter how fast I was running, it seemed I wasn't running fast enough. If she was hurt, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I arrived at a ridge near the lake when I saw Clover fighting what appeared to be human. Her other teamate was shooting arrows from behind her. I plunged straight down the hillto get to them. As I entered the clearing, I saw there opponent. It was another hooded figure. The figure's cloak matched the ones from Absil's house that night. The hooded figue looked at me."Looks like I couldn't finish the misson fast enough." he said to himself before retreating into the woods. I turned to Clover to see if she was alright. She had a few cuts on her right arm and chest but other than that she looked fine. "We had him on the ropes." Clover said practically out of breath. "If it wasn't for me, you would be dead. How's your friend?" I asked her. " Her leg is broken. she can't walk." She told me while looking down at the ground. " I'll carry her. You cover us incase our mysterious frined comes back." I instructed Clover. I really wanted to track down that man, but I can't leave these two here. I walked over two her friend who was sitting on a rock. "Wrap your arms around me." I told her. She didn't respond, just obeyed. On the way back to the village, I asked Clover what happened. She told me that while they were tracking their monster, the man showed up and almost killed the archer, Maya. They sent the other one back for help and when she went to escape, he slashed her in the back. That would explain all the blood. When we got back, Maya's parents rushed up and yanked her away from me. Your welcome. Clover stayed next to me. I guess she didn't want to see her parents. I walked up to the eldest to inform him of the situation. Everything was fine until he asked me why I was at Absil's tent. I told hime i have trouble sleeping and I talk to Absil about it sometimes. It was the truth, it just wasn't the full truth. For now Clover and everyone was safe, but not until the mysterious guild comes back. The Bloodgail Knights aren't finished with me.
