He was drowning. In a sea of salt water. it got into his lungs and suffocated him, leaving him to gasp for air as his organs began to shrivel up, dehydrated.
And that was when Peter woke up, gasping. His shirt was drenched with water and where the wounds from the knife once were, had healed.
He sat up, anger and confusion clutching at him, as water dripped from his nose as well as his fingertips. He was choking on water in his sleep.
The flash of events pressed at him, as he began to remember what had happened.
Soren had tried to kill him.
And she would have sucueeded, if it wasn't for the water, which he could only assume was from the well which lay in the mountains, which could heal any wound.
His ears were ringing and he couldn't quite place his location. He was shaking.
"How does it feel," A lingering voice began. "To have hurt so much? To the point where you felt like you couldn't do anything about it? That it was your fault that you couldn't stand up for yourself?" The voice finished.
He placed the voice. It was Soren. But she spoke in between sobs. He felt like he was going mad.
"What-- the hell," Peter spoke through clenched teeth. "You-- you did that on purpose. You-- wanted me too hurt- to think I was dying- too--" He spoke, his mind jumbled with the turn of events.
"You didn't think I was going to let you die, did you? I wanted you to hurt. Like you made us all hurt." She hissed, swallowing back another sob.
His head pounded.
"You--almost died. You thought you were going to die. Thats-- thats in the past now. We can look past what you did, because now. You've been reborn." Soren explained, clenching her eyes shut, trying to remember the words that Tiger Lily had spoke.
"To be reborn, you have to die first." She muttered under her breath. Tiger Lily had told her that. And the stars had told Tiger Lily.
He swallowed back the urge to strangle her. She was talking nonsense and he just wanted her to shut up.
"That-- doesn't make any sense. You've gone mad. Look at you-- They really drove nonsense into your brain- haven't they? Just--" He stopped. He had realized something. She was- Soren was with Tiger Lily. It was only possible that they had stolen Jane away.
He pulled Soren in front of him by the collar.
"This was a distraction wasn't it? So they could steal her away from me? Tell me where she is. They took her didn't they?" He rambled, eyes staring her down.
She began giggling, and it escalated into a mad fit of laughter. Her eyebrows were furrowed together, as her chin was raised to look larger than him.
His nostrils flared in anger, as he pushed her away, attempting to stand up. He struggled to stand straight, still un-use to balancing his weight.
How long had he been passed out for? It seemed like days.
He began to walk north, before he heard a rustle behind him.
"You won't find her." She spoke, voice wavering.
He clenched his jaw, still continuing North.
"They can't hide her from me forever. This land is only so big." He spoke with malice.
"Oh but Peter. I have been here longer. I helped set up their camp. And it is somewhere you would never guess." She snarled, shuffling to stand beside him.
