Chapter 11: How are we Related?

"Xiao, promise me that you will try to accept "Him" after this. He loves you and he cares for you ever since you two were little. I just...hope that we will be one big happy family again."

My mom said before she started the car's engine.

It left me lost and confused.

'What was she trying to tell me? And who is "him"?'

I thought to myself as I took a deep breathe and tried my best to forget everything and wait till we get to the hospital.

'What am I facing? What kind of situation is this? Do I know enough?'

I thought to myself and rest my head on the window as my mom drove away.

The drive to the hospital wasn't too long since it wasn't that far from our house but for me it felt like hours and I'm starting to get more and more worried and at the same time impatient.

Not long after we arrived the boys and I waited for mom at the lobby since she had to buy something from the pharmacy nearby.

I was starting to get bored from waiting and decided to walk around even though there's really nothing interesting to look for.

As I was walking my thoughts were immediately filled with questions like:

'Who did this to my father'

'What did he do wrong'

'What is it about my family that I don't know yet'

and especially

'who is "he" that mom was talking about'

All those thoughts flooded my mind that I didn't even care to look at where I was going.

suddenly I bumped into someone. It wasn't that hard to make the both of  us fall down.

The boy looks older than me...maybe 4 years older.

"Are you alright I asked him."

Before he could look up at me he held his head trying to balance himself since I think he got a bit dizzy when we both bumped into each other.

Slowly he looked up at me and he suddenly froze. I was confused at him and I froze in place as well trying not to be awkward with him, but this, I can't handle this.

"Uhm...Are you okay? Does your head still hurt?I'm so sorry, if you want I can bring you to one of the doctors here since we're already in a hospital."

I said to him as I panicked because I didn't know what to do and at the same time this boy in front of me keeps staring at me and it's getting really uncomfortable and awkward.

I was about to give up and leave the boy since he isn't saying anything and I don't want to be in this situation anymore. Suddenly he spoke....
