Chapter 15: Danger

'Who are they?'

'What's happening?'

"Chenle I-I don't understand...what do you mean?"

I asked a bit scared and panicked at the same time. "I'll explain later. For now stay safe and don't walk out from the school gates unless my classes end okay?"

He sternly said and I replied with an 'okay' and a nod.

I ended the call and placed my phone on my chest as I took a deep breath to calm myself down.

"What kind of hell have I gotten myself into?"

I turned around to see the boys talking to each other and I can't stop myself but to seek for comfort; the fear I feel is unexplainable.

"G-guys...h-help me."

That call from Chenle gave me the chills and I can't help but feel scared for my dear life.

'I don't know what nightmares are coming my way; but I'm pretty sure it won't be great.'

The boys turned around to face me and I can't blame them for having that shocked and confused look on their faces.

I felt so scared that my face turned pale and my legs started to tremble.

"Xiao-jie are you alright? You don't look so good jie."

Shuyang hesitantly took tiny steps to where I was standing as he tried to avoid me from collapsing to the floor since my legs are beginning to feel numb and week.

"Guys...I'm scared. I'm scared of what will happen."

"What do you mean Xiao? You can tell us. We can help you."

Zihao said as he patted my shoulder. Giving me a reassuring smile. At first I felt at ease that the boys are there in case if I needed any help, but that feeling of anxiety and fear still has the best of me.

"I think we should sit down first. Let Mingxiai rest for a while. She's not in good state to explain everything right now. Shuyang take her to that bench."

Hanyu ordered the younger as he pointed to a nearby bench near the building in which Chenle's classes are held.

Shuyang nodded at Hanyu before he slowly led me to that bench as if I was something really fragile.

I can see the boys follow right behind us, and as I sat down the boys sat down on the floor.

"Mingxiao, what did Chenle-ge say?"

Guanyi asked followed by Linma and Jiakai.

"Mmhm... Yes jie. You can tell us. We're willing to help you."

The two said. I looked at them in awe. Despite their age I still think of them as my little brothers and I cant helo but give them a faint smile.

"Well...Chenle said that I should stay here and wait for him. I can't go home on my own because he said it's dangerous."

Mingrui then interrupted.
" Dangerous? What kind of danger Xiao?"

"That's something I'm still not sure about Gougou, but he sounded so...worried and..afraid. As if he already knew the possibilities of the bad things that can happen. I'm not risking our lives by disobeying my brother."

Dianjia and Hanyu both looked at each other with worried expressions and nodded.

Dianjia sat beside me and gave me a comforting hug.
