Chapter 9: Come home Now

"Guy! C'mon! Let the Fun Begin!"

Zihao and Hanyu shouted in unison making some of the people in n of reassurance was on my face.

They all ran to the direction of the arcade and Xinlong grabbed me with them.

I couldn't help but chuckle at them. It's so nice seeing them enjoy, being away from all the school work and stress.

How I wish this would last forever.

"Hey! Dianjia! That's so unfair. You're suppose to do it like this."

Hanyu said at the confused boy next to him as they tried to win a blue dinosaur on the crane game.

"Ohh! So that's how you play!"

Dianjia said as he chuckled at how Hanyu was so dedicated to get the dinosaur.

"Hey look! It's me!"

Xinlong said as he ran to the direction of the two boys and pointed at the dinosaur Hanyu was trying to get.

Zeyu and I both followed and when we saw what he meant all of us laughed.

"Xinlong, do you want this?"

Dianjia asked the boy whos eyes were glued to the dinosaur inside the glass box.

Without turning his head he nodded at Dianjia.

Dianjia chuckled at his actions and told Hanyu that the younger boy would love that stuffed animal.

"I'm trying.....it just won't budge."

Hanyu said as he struggled with the claw machine.

Since I was a child I often go to places like this and the claw machine was one of the games I always played.

I stepped close to Xinlong and tapped his shoulders as he turned his head to face me.

"I- uhm....is it okay if I try?"

Surrendering, Hanyu moved aside and let me take control of the game.

And as expected, I got the blue dinosaur. I still got the skills.

I chuckled and the boys stood there shocked and amazed at the same time.

"Hahah! Hanyu just got beaten!"

Minghao laughed and pointed at the shocked Hanyu as he clapped his hands.

"Yeah! Hanyu-ge, Xiao-Jie has just beat you."

Mingrui and Shuyang said in unison as they gave each other a high five and laughed.

I opened the little slot on the claw machine and pulled out the blue dinosaur.

I faced Xinlong and gave it to him. I couldn't describe how happy Xinlong was when he recieved the blue dinosaur.

"Wow! Thanks a lot Xiao! You're the best!"

He said as he gave me a hug. Instead of feeling awkward I felt accomplished as I hugged him back.

"Since when did you learn to play games like that Xiao? I'm amazed."

Zeyu asked, truly amazed but what I did and I fin it quite cute.

"Well... I used to play this game a lot when I was still little. And yes, I used to win a lot of prizes."

I giggled and Zeyu just clapped his hands at me as he gave a nodd.

"Gege, Jiejie! Who's hungry?"

Jiakai and Linma said as they gave Hanyu and Junyi pleading looks.

"Alright, alright I think we should eat now."

Junyi said to the two boys whose expressions immediately brightened.

"Good call. I'm hungry."

Zihao said.

"So where's the plan?"
Hanyu asked.

"Pizza anyone?"
Minghao suggested and we all agreed.

"Pizza it is then. Let's go!"
Hanyu said.

But before we could go, my phone rang and it was from my mother.

"Just a minute guys, I have to take this."

I said to them as they nodded at me in return.

"Hello mom?"

"Hello?! Mingxiao! Come quick. Come home! It's your father....he's in the hospital. He was..in an accident."

My eyes widened at what my mom said and tears started to dwell up in my eyes.

"Will he be okay?!"

I asked shouting since I was already in a state of panick and my tears are starting to fall.

Right now the boys are starting to get concerned and they all patted my back and tried to comfort me.

"The doctor said he's in critical condition. But I pray he'll be alright. Just come home quick Mingxiao. Alright?"

I can here her crying as she talked to me on the phone.

I told her that I will be home quickly and I ended the call.

I turned around to face the guys as they gave me concerned looks. I tried to keep my tears from falling but I failed to do so.

"Tell us what happened Xiao. We can help."

Zeyu said as he pat my back.

I explained to all of them and some of them were shocked while the others were also in the verge of crying.

"I hope your dad will be alright Mingxiao."

Zihao said to me.

I nodded and gave him a smile.

"I need to go home now. I still have a lot of things to do. Just enjoy your day okay? Bye guys."

I said as I turned around but then Xinlong stopped me.

"Who said that you're dealing with this alone?"

He said and gave me a reassuring smile.

Zeyu also joined in.

"We're here to help you Xiao."
He said and gave Xinlong a high five.

"You're our friend. And friends helo each other."

They all said to me which only made me more emotional.

"Thanks guys. I really appreciate it."

I said and I sobbed as they all hugged me.

Being with them makes me more calm and relaxed. Now that I have problems I still feel loved and secure because of them.

I feel so lucky to have them as my close friends.

A/n: OMG! IT HAS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I'VE UPDATED.

I'm really sorry guys I was just busy with school and exams just ended.😴

Right now I just feel so lifeless. But anyways I would like to apologize if I took so long to update please understand🙏, I've been going through a lot lately and I'm sorry.🤕
