                                           Chapter 7

"Ms. Sage!" A ruler smacked down on my desk causing my eyes to snap open. "Next time you fall asleep in class you'll have a six page essay due the next day."

"Yes Mr. Watts." My voice came out husky and thick from sleep. Trish giggled at me from her seat in the front. I just rolled my eyes and laid my head back down on the desk. Lately I wasn't getting much sleep. I was scared of what I would see when I closed my eyes. I'd taken up coffee and caffeine; neither had failed me till now. I was starting to fall asleep when someone started poking my side.

"Stop." I mumbled swatting at the hand.

"Destiny." Jonathan said before poking me again.

"Stop." I said a little louder.

"Not until you wake up." He said poking me for a third time.

"Jonathan! I swear if you don't stop poking me I'll fucking kill you!" I yelled. The class went silent and all eyes were on me.

"Ms. Sage! This is the second time you've interrupted my class today! I'm going to have to ask you to leave! I will not tolerate foul language!" Mr. Watts exclaimed. I quickly pushed up from my seat and shoved my books into my bag. I let my hair fall over my face to hide the blush that formed across my cheeks. I stumbled out the door and ran down the hall. I went outside and pulled open the door to the green car. Shit Trish still has the keys. I plopped down on the ground and took out my drawing pad.

I was Careful not to let my mind wonder, I didn't want a replay of last time. Instead I started drawing Jonathan's broad shoulders and the surroundings from my first dream. His back was turned to me and his face was cold.

"What you doing?" Trish practically screamed from behind me. My sketch book flew into the air and I let out a high pitch scream. As soon as I could get my heart to start beating again I turned around to yell at Trish, only to find her rolling on the ground clutching her stomach.

"You should have seen your face!" She managed to get out between giggles. "You were hilarious!" I angrily bent down to grab my notebook and pencil.

"I mean you scream like a whore in a horror movie!" The next thing I knew I was standing over playfully hitting her with my sketch book.

"Nooo!" She squealed rolling around trying to avoid my book.

"Now who screams like a whore in a horror movie!" I eventually decided to help Trish up. We piled into her car and turned up the music. We were three fourths of the way home when something caught my eye.

"Trish! Turn around! I need to get something from the book store!" I shouted. My sudden outburst caused her to swerve the car almost smashing into a lamp post. She quickly pulled the car over and after a thirty minute lecture on distracting people while driving, she let me out.
