                                                                  Chapter 8

My feet drug across the linoleum floor as I made my way to the Dean's office my life feels like a bad suspense film. I yanked open the shiny office door and briskly walked in. The receptionist looked like a middle aged women who sincerely hated her job.

"Hi. I was called in to see the dean."

"First hall way second door to the left." She answered in a bored tone. I shuffled down the hall and knocked on the door.

"Come in." I opened the door and stepped through. The large room was covered in bookshelves with an overly ostentatious desk smack dab in the middle. The desk was the most unorganized i had ever seen. Papers where strewn all over the place and several books lie open on the desk. Sitting in one of the two leather  arm chairs was Luca. He smiled up at me sheepishly.

"Ah. Ms. Sage, Please come in and take a seat, close the door behind you." I did as told and took the chair next to Trish and waited for the dean to speak.

"Do you know why you're here?" He questioned.

       "No Sir."

"Trishanna alerted me about some strange things happening to you." Trish started to explain about the events that had been happening from her hearing me scream in my dream on the first night I got here to my panic attack in our apartment.

"Thank you Trishanna, you may return to your class." The dean said after Trish was done. Trish gave me a tentative smile as she shut the door behind her.

"I know this is hard for you but I need you to tell me everything that happens when you get these visions."

"Not much really. It always starts out with a really bad head ache and then I'll black out. It feels like a dream. There is always a message though. And then I just wake up." We remained silent for a few minutes before he spoke again.

"I have a theory but I'm not completely sure. I'm going to talk to my superior; it'll only take a few minutes." He exited the room leaving me alone. I could already feel one of my crippling migraines coming on. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. My fingers rubbed my temples in an attempt to stop the head ache where it was. The door clicked shut and my eyes flew open. The dean sat back into his chair and folded his hands under his chin.

"Destiny, you're a seer." He said bluntly.

    "A what?"

"A seer." You see the future, past, and present. The thing is there hasn't been a seer in over 2,000 years."

"I think you have the wrong person." I replied shakily. I'm nothing special; I've never done anything special or even remotely important. If being class president in sixth grade counted for anything.

"You're written into the prophecy of the fallen. It's starting and we need to prepare. I've put you in an extra class and it's due to start any time." My heart beat speed up and my breath became shallow.

"I t-think i need s-some time to come to terms with this." I managed to choke out. I quickly stood up pushing my chair back as I rushed out of the office. My shoulder bag bumped against my hip. I can't do this. I couldn't do anything great while I was living why would it change now? It would be stupid to foul myself into thinking i could do it.

I wondered around for what felt like forever until i stopped in front of The Library of the Angels. I took a deep breath to calm myself down before entering. When I came to the computers I dropped my bag and sat down. I pulled up the search window and typed in seer. I clicked on the first link that popped up and read.
