Aiden sat quietly in his car and stared at the small crowd in the distance. Cora, Keith, Myzela and Shawn were talking to Officer Reylen. He did not want to be surrounded by them or answering any questions about Sera. The only thing he wanted was for all of this to be over with. Burying her all over again was so hard.
The time turned to three p.m. and Sera's second funeral was about to start. Just her family, Reylen, himself and Angelle were there. Jen didn't speak a word of this to anyone else. All anyone truly wanted was peace of mind and spirit.
The Grimmstone was gone, scattered into the nearest body of water and never to be found. Aiden had gone alone to dispose of the resurrection stone. Two others remained out in the world, but no one knew where to find them. It was best this way too.
Shawn came over to Aiden's car and knocked on the roof of it. "Come on, Crowe, you're wanted out here."
Aiden walked with Shawn silently as thoughts of Sera swam around in his mind. Seeing her lying on the ground, helpless and still had made him sick. If he had died he would've waited for her to come be with him. Unfortunately Cora tenderized the Grimmstone into many pieces.
He'd thought about ending his own life many times throughout the week, but he knew Sera would be angry with him if he did.

Aiden looked at the head stone and sighed. His head hurt from all of the over thinking of what if's. Kissing her one last time was toxic, but it also made him feel more alive in that moment than he'd ever felt.
The funeral was short and sort of sweet. Only loving words were spoken and they all agreed to never speak of this to anyone.
Aiden stayed longer than most of her own family. He sat near her stone and looked around the quiet cemetary.
"Do you want me to stay or go?" Angelle asked her brother.
"I just want to be alone with her for a while." Aiden said. Angelle nodded and left him alone. She went to sit in the car and wait for him.
He wondered if she was with him right now. "If you're here give me a sign." He said in a slightly pleading way. He waited several minutes for anything to happen. Nothing did so he gave up and got off the ground. He walked to his car and got inside.
"Are you okay?" Angelle asked from the passenger seat.
Aiden shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe in time. Right now I'm a wreck inside."

He pushed the radio button on and a song played loudly. "I'll be there, till the stars don't shine 'Til the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme /I know when I die you'll be on my mind And I'll love you, always." Those lyrics to his and Sera's song. The band he loved and the song they had first made love to. He burst into tears and Angelle looked worried.
"I'm guessing this is yours and Sera's song?" Angelle said as she reached out and gently touched his arm.
"Yeah . . ." was the only word he could even say. When the song ended he turned the radio off. The old song from the 90's was the sign for sure.
Angelle offered to drive home and he let her.
"Can we go to Dairy Queen?" Aiden asked as he saw the large sign ahead.
Angelle smiled at him and got into the turning lane. "Yes, I need some too. And I know you and Sera went here on your first date. She told me all about it."
