TW: Depictions of violence and assault
Friday
Marcus and I were walking to Daniel's house as always. We were in a better mood mainly as the weekend was drawing near. Although, Marcus was still stressing out about the quiz that day."Lia come on please just quiz me on one more thing!"
"Marcus I have asked you literally everything in your text book since breakfast and since we got out the house, I am starting to get tired of hearing about empires, and world powers and blah, blah, blah."
"Lia if you quiz on one more thing, I promise I will do anything you want for the entire weekend."
"Are you sure about that?" I asked, smirking.
He nodded eagerly in response.
"Alright fine I'll quiz you."
The entire rest of the walk was filled with nothing except Emergence of World Powers, thankfully they reach Daniel's house.
Marcus approached the front door.Knock
Knock
KnockThe door swung to reveal a half woken Daniel standing right before us. There appeared to be bags under his eyes along with an extreme case of bed head. The three of us had not spoken a word for a solid minute until I decided to break the silence.
"I didn't know you were a zombie, Daniel."
Marcus tried his best to hold in his laughter but was failing miserably. Daniel did not find it amusing but brushed it off regardless. He tiredly replied to my comment.
"It's not my fault, Lia. I was up all night studying for the stupid history quiz and it didn't help that your boyfriend was playing video games the entire night."
"Did Noah head off already?" I asked.
Yawn
"No, he's sleeping, remember?" Daniel said rubbing his eyes.
"Oh right, he's got a free lesson."
At this point there was yet another moment of silence but this time I began walking to school. The boys followed soon after and the entire way it was filled with Marcus and Daniel recapping.
We finally reached the building and were about 15 minutes early. We each went to our scheduled classes, Marcus' first lesson was Mathematics, Daniel's was Poetry and mine was Literature. With time to spare they began prepare themselves for their classes.
I was reading ahead on "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens. Students started entering the classroom and started chatting with one another this continued until the bell rang.
Ring
RingA fairly tall male with a slim physique had walked into the classroom with briefcase in hand, wearing black pants, a white shirt and a dark blue vest along with a red tie. He had dirty blonde hair and green eyes. This man appeared to be in his early twenties yet he had a face so stoic that he would be able to pierce through your soul by just looking at you.
"Good morning, everyone." He said with his voice so deep yet gentle at the same time. He had a bit of a cockney accent.
"Good morning Mr. Levene." Everyone said in perfect unison.
