POV- Andie
Is this real? Am I real? Am I breathing?
I wake up in Aspen's arms.
I mean, you know, not in a weird way, of course.
We just... I just... passed out, you know?
Nothing happened. It's not like I wanted anything to happen.
But now she's still asleep, holding me.
This is weird. Should I wake her up?
I slowly reach in my pocket and click my phone on. It's a little past 9am. I know we didn't stay up past 2am, so maybe we should get up now? I kind of don't want to move. She's warm, but not that stuffy and sweaty kind of warm. She's the kind of warm that feels like a constant hug, like a hot tub in Colorado, like a warm shower when you first wake up on a chilly winter morning. I like this feeling, I want this feeling to keep going.
So I let her sleep for a while more.
At least until Avery comes bursting into the family room.
"Y'aLL bEeN (f)UcKiNG?" She jumps onto the couch we're laying on.
Aspen rubs her eyes and starts giggling.
"Oh, totally." She teases.
"Tell me about it!" Avery jokes. "Is Andie toTALLY packed?"
I try to laugh but instead I'm just reminded. Aspen looks at me with embarrassed eyes, realizing I'm visibly uncomfortable.
"Uh- not sure. We did it in the pitch-black, you know?" Aspen recovers for me. Avery finds it extremely entertaining.
"Oh yeah, I only do it in the pitch black too because I don't want to scare people with my mASSIVE--"
"Okay, Avery!" I interrupt, not wanting to hear another word. "We get it, you're jacked."
"You know it!" She laughs and pushes me a little bit. I love her, but GOD, I wish she understood.
Well, I guess she can't possibly understand until I tell her. So, I gotta tell her... sometime.
