Chapter 37:

It's been one week after Ross saying he takes me as a friend thing.To be honest,I'm not mad OR sad at all.Well,not anymore.Things are great when we're friends and I would love to stay the same.Why struggle to change things that's already perfect at the first place?It's time to move on and hang out with another guy.I actually considered going back to Mack,until I saw him lip locking with a girl in the hallway.I walk away,awkwardly.Literally.

Saturday afternoon looking at random guys walking around the street while enjoying a cup of coffee,I won't say it's the best moment of my life,but I would say,I quite enjoy it."Hey,mind I sit here?"A deep voice calls.I look up to see a brunette boy who seems around my age,looking down at me with a crystal clear blue eyes."Sure!" I quickly remove my stuff from the seat."I'm Lucas by the way"He shakes my hand as I did the same.Somehow it feels familiar.His hands feels like Ross's.I shake away the thought about Ross having his hand in mine."I'm Laura.Nice to meet you"I smile."My pleasure"He smiles back as our hands are still in the air,holding onto each other's.We both blush and disconnect them.I actually feel a bit cold and lonely without his hand.

"And then,she hit the wall again"We are both laughing at small conversation about both of our stories.I catch my breath and saw the sun is already out."Wow,we've must talked for a while"He looks at my direction and agrees.We exchanged our phone number and decided to head back home.

It's the third week after meeting Lucas,we hang out every weekend cause we feel comfortable with each other's company.He's a really nice guy with a great personality.He did make me forget about Ross and the feelings that I'm trying to get rid off.He sure is a distraction for me.

I was getting ready for our another 'date'.Trowing over a floral tank top with a black high skirt and a pair of white converses.Also made my hair up in a ponytail since it's a bit hot.I walk over to the place where I keep my jewelry.I stop as I see the necklace Ross gave me.Next to it,is the one Lucas gave me.I snap the one from Lucas' with out thinking and put it on.It's really the time to move on.

A knock on the door took me back to reality.I rushed to the door to see the same brunette I saw lately with the same blue eyes."Ready to go?"He asks.I nod and close the door.Checking it twice to make sure I locked it.And after all this and that,we walk over to his car.Setting us down,we start to jam to some amazing songs on our way to the theme park.Laughing and singing,it was all good,until we stop at the red light,looking across I saw a blonde.My jaw drop open as he has the same reaction as mine.

Ross..?

And a girl beside him.
