Death and the Maiden

I walked into the boarding house with two cups of coffee. I walked up the stairs and made my way to Stefan's room.

"Stefan." I say as I opened the curtains. He jumped up. "Morning. I brought coffee. How did you sleep?" I say as I walked over to him.

"Ohhh... not great."

"First night back in your own bed. Not as comfy as Tessa's couch, huh?"

" if we're going to talk about Tessa, I think I need that caffeine." I gave him the cup. "So, uh, what's with the wakeup call?"

"I miss you. I feel like when you lost your memories I lost I lost my  boyfriend, and I was thinking instead of describing how much we meant to each other well, maybe we can just start fresh. Hi. I'm Amanda."

"We were driving to portland."

"What?"

" the night I took Silas to the Quarry, I said goodbye to Lexi, and then we decided to keep driving West."

"Wait. Hang on. How do you remember that?"

"Beacaue my memories are back."

"Really? Are you serious? How?"

"Tessa came here last night, and she undid whatever spell fried my brain, and its all back. I can remember everything." He looked at me.

"Stefan, this is great! This is amazing." I gave him a hug.

"Not really." He says as we pulled apart. "I remember you saying your pregnant."

"Oh, um.... y--- yeah." I looked down at the floor. "Stefan-" I looked up at him. "- I really thought that Silas was you and -"

"So you're pregnant with hi-"

"Yeah. Stefan I'm-"

"I can't do this right now Amanda."

"October 1852." Damon says.

"You broke my nose trying to teach me how to throw a right hook." Stefan says. Elena and I both looked at them.

"But not on purpose." Damon says." Just to be clear. How much did you pay for that hunk of junk motorcycle you ride?"

"That's a trick question. You bought me that motorcycle, although I'm guessing it was pretty expensive."

"So Tessa just gave you back your memories, no strings attached." Damon says.

"Well, it wasn't exactly a gift. It was a lot to take in at once, everything from blowing out my candles on my first birthday cake to drowning in a safe."

"Stefan." I say as I walked over to him. Stefan was holding a glass and he held It a little tight and it brok in his hand.

"Whoa! Easy, there buddy." Damon says as he pulled me back

"Stefan, where did you go?" Elena says

"All that and I can't remember my own strength." He looked at me. We all started hearing noise's "What's that noise?"

"Uh, well that is....." Damon says

"We have a situation." Elena says

"Of the doppelganger variety." I say

"Yeah." Damon says

"Katherine?" Stefan asks

"No. No, not Katherine." Damon says. We all walked down into the cellar and Stefan looks inside the cell.

"I don't know! I don't know." Amara yells as she broke things.

"What's wrong with her?"

"Tessa turned her into a block of rock, left her in a box for 2,000 years, probally went a little stir crazy like those deserted island guys who talk to vollyballs."
