It's your birthday, and I have a plan. Goodmorning! Breakfast in bed. Strawberry crepes with powdered sugar and chocolate syrup, with a side of heart chocolates and a special little letter for your eyes only. It's time to get ready for the day; You'll walk to the bathroom, with little hearts scribbled in markers in each corner of the mirror, and only a fraction of the words describing how incredible and beautiful you are. The other millions, would have to stay in my mind for now. We'll spend brunch time talking and joking around, watching our favorite YouTube channel maybe. I'll lean my head on your shoulder, just so I can feel your smile.
It's lunch time, now, and I've got a plan.
We've picked a place to go out and eat, in your favorite place in the park. We'll sit, and chat once more, and the letter I'd slip into the box would have to wait until later. I'll take off your glasses, and I'd run off with them just to be funny. I didn't know you would chase me around to get them back, but did it make my day? Yes, yes it did. You caught me, we're rolling down a hill and entangled in a fit of limbs. I ended up rolling into the lake, but that's okay. We laughed about it for a long time, and my heart fluttered and soared when you saw my drenched face and grinned, and laughed over top of me. We ended up forgetting the time, so we climbed up a tree. We sat on a limb, in a momentarily comfortable silence. It gave me a moment, to look out at the sunset and turn back to him. Staring at his eyes struck a match in my heart. I've seen them a hundred times, but together when I'm here beside him, I realise how lucky and unworthy I am to have the sun beside me. He caught me staring and turned back to me, and yet I still feel embarrassed so I turned away. "Why were you staring?" "I'm so sorry, I just.. Your eyes are so beautiful.." It went silent for a second, I felt embarrassment creeping up on me until-- "Yer eyes are so beaUUUtiful-" He spoke, mockingly as he batted his eyelashes. I snorted, shoving him playfully. "I hate you, stupid." He smirked, his glasses slightly off his face. "Love you too."
It's dinner time now, and I had a plan. While we walked back, I slipped a new letter into his pocket. He didnt ask anything, but smiled anyways. He'd ask where we were going, but I didn't answer. "You'll have to wait and see, DORK." The sun was almost completely set, until while walking we see a trail of lanterns. There were lights in the trees, illuminating a path towards a woodsy clearing. On the picnic table, there was a load of gifts that were all wrapped in silver shiny wrapping paper, and he smiled with that look of his that absolutely killed my heart. I took his hand, hesitantly and kissed it before engulfing him in the hug I've been waiting and resisting to give him all day until now. "Happy birthday, sunshine." I grinned and parted, taking him over to the bench where he sat. I placed the flower crown on his head and stood over him, the birthday cake's candles waiting to be blown out. I sung him happy birthday, and you gave me the last and final blow to my love struck heart. A kiss on the cheek. The little butterflies in my stomach multiplied and shot out of me mouth, like steam. I was practically melting. But enough out of me. He blew out the candles, on the last few words. "-Birthday to-"
"You!"
