Shattered Mirrors (Depressed Karamatsu x reader)

Chapter 4: Do they care?

As soon as Karamatsu was discharged from the hospital I took him in my car. "We are gonna stop by your house to pick up some necessities. Is that okay?" I ask but only receive a nod. I smile at least you're responding. I thought as we pulled up to the house.

"I'll be quick. Do you want to-" he cut me off with a quiet "no." I sighed and walked to door but before I knock Jyushimatsu ran out and over to my car to greet his brother. His loud voice calling out "Karamatsu-niisan!" And I couldn't help but smile before heading in.

I ignored the other brothers but only because they didn't say anything to begin with. I walk upstairs and pack his clothes, pajamas, and other important things such as his sunglasses. As I picked up his sunglasses I slid them on and snapped a quick pic of myself. I kept the glasses resting on my head as I picked up the loaded suitcase.

But before I left the room I spotted his guitar and grabbed it. I absolutely loved whenever he played. He always sounded so calm but I knew that when he was on the roof ,by himself, playing he was hurting deep down. I felt myself sadden at the thought before heading back downstairs.

When I approach the door I turn back to face the brothers who were watching me. "You know. You have a great brother who loves you regardless of how you treated him and all he wanted was your attention. I hope you realize that. Jyushimatsu has, so you should as well." I say sullenly and was greeted with shame filled looks as they looked away. "Well, this is goodbye for now." I say and leave their sullen home.

I saw Jyushimatsu hugging his brother through my car's open window and smile. I tap Jyushimatsu and tell him it's time for us to leave. "Oh..I can visit you guys right!" He asks and I nod "anytime you want, Come visit us." He nods happily and hugs me tightly. I of course hug him back and he heads back into his home.

I got Karamatsu's stuff in the trunk and got into my car. After getting situated I saw Karamatsu glancing at me with a small blush. "Um..are you wearing my glasses?" He asked quietly and I smile handing them back "sorry I couldn't resist. I always thought they were cute." He blushed again before pushing my hand back "Then keep them. After all I can always get other ones." He says quietly

I was surprised but complied "well thank you, that's very generous." I say before driving to my house. Through out the ride Karamatsu was even more silent then before while glancing out the window. His eyes looked so..dull.

When I finally pulled up to my house I parked and was about to leave but Karamatsu didn't even move. "Kara, we're here." He just gave a quiet oh and left to the front of my house. After grabbing his stuff and letting us in he sat down on the couch again being silent.

I walk over and crouch in front of him. I reach out and held his face. "You're more silent than normal. What's wrong?" I ask but he just looks me in the eyes with those dull brown eyes. "You have a brother don't you?" He asks and I tilt my head. "Yes, but what does Chibita have to do wit-" "and you look after one another...love one another." I shut up as he pushed my hands off his face, looking down as he ran a hand through his bangs.

"W..Well yeah, we kinda have to. We are all each other has since we don't really have parents we had to care for one another." I say growing very concerned. Karamatsu laughed. It was such a shaky, broken laugh. "So you care about each other? Because that's what family does, yes?" I nod "okay..so answer me this.." he paused

"Why don't my brothers care about me?"

Now I was silent but he didn't finish "I..I wish my brothers could just love me...BUT THEY DON'T" he yelled as he looked up. I flinch back at the sight of tears flowing from his eyes. He stood up,angrily wiping his eyes "NO MATTER WHAT I DO OR SAY THEY JUST...just...j-just..." he sighed and sat back down as he cried.

"They just don't love me nor do they care. My little Jyushimatsu is the only one who does care and loves me."

I felt tears brim in my eyes before grabbing Karamatsu by his shoulders "Y-YOU IDIOT!" He seemed to be startled but at the moment I didn't care "DON'T MAKE IT SEEM LIKE ONLY JYUSHIMATSU CARES AND LOVES YOU! I CARE! AND I LOVE YOU!" I shout and Karamatsu froze then I froze.

Wait..did I just say I l-loved him
