Chapter 7

Chapter 7- Secret Skills

Second year goes by real quick, Seven hugs her parents before going into the platform. Seven notices Light bringing her things into the train.
"Oh hey, Seven, how was vacation?" Light asks.
"It was good, yours?"
"It was fun!"
They both went in to find vacant seats. They spot Keshie and Nadja already sitting. Both immediately dash to the seats Keshie and Nadja are in.
"Well, hello there! Come and sit," Keshie waves.
Seven sits down and pulls a book from one of her bags.
"Reading a book, already? What a nerd," Keshie teases.
Seven glares at Keshie for few seconds but then covers her face with the book. Nadja examines the book cover intensely.
"Wait.." Nadja hesitates.
Nadja grabs the book off Seven's hands fast. Keshie and Light looks at her but remains quiet. She flips to see the page Seven is reading. The page shows a diagram of a snake and histories about talking to one. Nadja flips a page, which reveals methods on how to speak to one. Nadja's eyes widen a bit.
"You are learning parseltongue?" Nadja shouts slightly.
"Yes, so?" Seven raises an eyebrow.
Seven crosses her arms.
"This doesn't have anything to do with you, what are you gonna do about it, huh?" Seven snarls.
"I am just surprised, I didn't know this about you.. how long have you been learning this?"
"Since the start of or first year?"
"This is wicked!"
"Excuse me?"
"Oh, I just meant it in a surprised awe," Nadja points out.
Keshie and Light just exchange looks.
"Wait, so Seven is learning parseltongue?" Light asks.
"Yes, she is.."!
"Have she tried testing it out?" Keshie curiously asks.
"No, I have not.." Seven says quietly.
"Then, that's it!" Nadja beams.
The other three looks at her.
"We should have you try it out!" Nadja suggests.
"But, how?" Light hesitates.
All four hovered closely to reveal Nadja's plan to go to the Forbidden Forest to find a snake. They will have Seven try out her parseltongue abilities so far.
"Are you sure about this?" Keshie gulps.
"Yes of course.. but.. we have to find a way to sneak past Peeves though.." Nadja slumps.
"I mean if Peeves is not around the floor we meet then we can go immediately.." Light encourages.
"Where should we meet? Gryffindor Common Room is at the top floors while Hufflepuff and Slytherin Common Rooms are in the dungeons.." Keshie interrupts.
"That's it then.." Seven murmurs.
"What?" All three replies.
"We should just meet at the dungeons then sneak our way out... we have time tomorrow because our classes tomorrow are not until three in the afternoon.. we only have one class in the morning.." Seven initiates a plan.
"Are you mad? What if Professor Snape will catch us.. what should we do?" Light gives a point.
"Then we shall find a good excuse? If he thinks we are up to no good.." Keshie remarks.
"What time does our class ends tomorrow morning ?" Light asks.
Keshie clears her throat sharply at Light.
"I believe you should know the answer to that.. unless I heard you are sometimes late to class? I wonder?" Keshie sasses.
Nadja and Seven laughs.
"Wow, really?" Light complains.
"It's should work because we aren't going there at night, which would be more dangerous.." Nadja finalizes the plan.
The four then nods at the plan. Hours come by and they arrive at Hogwarts. They all set their things in their house dormitory. After dinner, all of them hover to check to see if their plan is finalized, which it is. The next day arrive. All girls go to their morning classes. Nadja has Charms for morning while Keshie has Herbology. Light has Transfigurations and Seven has Potions. After their morning classes, they all eat their lunch. All girls go to their common room to check on items they would like to bring. Seven gets her parseltongue book with her and stands outside the Slytherin common room. Shortly, Keshie and Light meets up with Seven. Nadja goes out from the Gryffindor common room and goes down the stairs, making her way to the dungeons. When she arrives, all of them go their way out into the Forbidden Forest. They talk as they walk in the forest.
"We really ought to stay alert," Light suggests.
"Good thing you know," Keshie smiles.
"Hey! What's up with you sassing me, missy?" Light complains.
"Girls, girls!" Seven chides both of the girls.
"How are we going to find a snake now?" Keshie asks with a bit of confusion.
Nadja then stops walking. The other stops to look at her.
"Wait- we would just keep looking..why don't we just have Seven try to speak in parseltongue and have the snake come to her? Isn't that a good idea?"Nadja suggests fast.
The other three snaps their finger in a "ohhh" matter.
"Seven try it!" Light screams excitedly.
Seven takes a step forward. She then starts to talk in gibberish that no one can understand. A few seconds later, they can hear something slithering in the ground. The grass rumbles in crispy sounds.
"Be on guard.. we may not know what is coming," Keshie alerts.
They all take their wands out. Something emerges from the ground, in their surprise, it is a cobra. The cobra stands up, making its way to Seven.
"Seven, be careful!" Light warns Seven.
Seven continues to talk gibberish. The snake then tilts its head and goes down on the ground to slither aback a bit.
"What did you say to the thing?" Keshie wonders.
"I told the snake to take a step back a bit.." Seven replies.
"Ooh, wickedly awesome!" Keshie applause.
The three girls then applause to Seven and gives her a big hug. Suddenly, the snake runs away hurriedly, slithering away as fast as it could go. They could hear crunching on the ground everywhere,surrounding them.
"Wands up," Nadja whispers.
They all stay alert to what might be incoming there way. Something flies off the trees.
"Oh no.." Seven mutters to herself.
A giant spider-like creature jumps fifteen feet from the girls.
  "Run!!" Keshie shouts.
Without any second thoughts, they all run like it was a speed marathon. The spider creature runs fast with its size. Nadja then points at a big branch that the spider is about to touch.
"Confringo!" Nadja shouts.
The branch then blasts into flames. The spider willows a bit but stomps, running even more faster.
"What even is that thing anymore!" Keshie whines.
"Oh, you shush! It's no time to complain!" Light shouts.
The spider is getting closer and closer.
"Crucio!" a voice cuts.
The four girls stop and look to where the voice is coming from. The giant spider runs away from the pain the spell cause it to be.
"Isn't that an unforgivable curse?" Light whispers to Keshie.
"I think so.." Keshie whispers back.
There is a tall, skinny guy with overdramatized puffy brown hair in a big bun. There are black circles under his eyes.
"That man needs some real rest, I tell you," Keshie comments.
"Really?" Light's eyes narrow on Keshie.
"Ohoho, Hey ladies, not even a thanks?" the man smiles hysterically.
"Who are you?" Seven yells.
The man twitches his head with a broad grin.
"Oh, taking interest in me? How dashing," the man replies.
"Why are you here?!" Nadja shouts.
"That should be my line," the man chuckles.
The man raises his wand while he swings his body as if he is dancing in slight motions.
"You ladies and I need a little chat, I saved you after all,"the man laughs in complete sharp voice.
"Wow, annoying," Light tenses up.
"Petrifucus Totalus!" The man shouted.
Light have both her arms to her side, both legs together, falling onto the ground. He performed a fully body-binding curse at Light.
"That's a warning, ladies," the man giggles maniacally.
"Nebulus!" The man shouts.
The spell creates a fog all over the forest.
"Oh, Merlin's beard!" Seven mutters.
"Stick together, do not separate!" Nadja proclaims.
Suddenly, a big gust of whirl wind comes into their direction, causing them to duck.
"Behind you!" Nadja pushes Seven to the side.
Seven tumbles to the ground, rolling slightly. Nadja fires a red hue of lightning from her wand. A duel insinuates.
"Incendio!" Seven yells.
A ball of fire flies into the foggy direction where Nadja is aiming at with her wand. Keshie guards Light on the ground.
"Cast Protego, Keshie.." Nadja instructs.
"I don't think I can protect her at the same time as attacking!" Seven adds.
"Protego.." Keshie mumbles.
A bubble-like light envelopes Keshie and Light.
"Seven!" Nadja calls out as she is still holding onto her wand.
"What?"
"Do your thing!"
"What thing?" Seven fires with her wand.
"Your thing earlier! Talking to you know, I can't give away our tactic!"
"Oh!"
Seven starts to talk in parseltongue again and something slithers onto the ground. A few seconds later, a loud scream from the man errupts with groans. The fog lifts up.
"Immobulus!" Keshie growls.
The man appears motionless in plain sight across from them. Luckily, Light's body-binding has now expired. She gets up and they all run back to the school grounds. When they arrive at school grounds, they stand by the courtyard.
"I really hope they won't know what happened.." Keshie pouts.
"I hope so too.." Seven follows.
"What.. are you... doing.. here?" a voice errupts.
All of the girls look behind, where the voice comes from.
"Professor Snape.." Nadja gasps.
"Shouldn't.. you..all be going to your.. classes.." Snape adds.
They all went silent, anxiety circles.
"Anguis.. what excuse will you give me.... ?" Snape, "I do not tolerate this..especially in my house.."
"I'm sorry Professor Snape.." Seven lowers her head.
"I will take 30 points off from your houses.." Snape growls.
All of them looks up in disappointment and surprise.
"Marleigh... Potions class is starting very soon.. Head there now.. before I take more points from your house.." Snape glares.
"Yes, Professor Snape.." Nadja runs.
Light, Seven and Keshie disperse from the hallway. They all go to their respective classes.
They all keep the event that happened in the Forbidden Forest a secret.
