Chapter 10- Keshie, The Hufflepuff

It is now the end of second year. All students now board the Hogwarts Express train. All of the four girls sit in the train. Nadja admires the scenery by the window while Light sleeps right next to her. Keshie have her arms crossed while looking outside the window across from Nadja. Seven is reading a book about potions. All four are silent.
"We are finally going to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts.." Nadja breaks the silence.
Seven puts down her book to her lap.
"You're right, I am excited.." Seven replies, unenthusiastic.
"Why aren't you sounding not that enthusiastic?" Nadja blinks.
"It's just that.. I don't know, I'm not sure if I would be good in that class.."
"Please, you will be great, don't worry so much!"
"You think so?"
Nadja nods with confidence. Shortly after, Seven asks a question.
"I'm wondering, why is your father living in the muggle world?"
"Oh that's because, he enjoys the muggle landscapes and muggle-techs."
"I see.." Seven nods slowly.
The train arrives at King's Cross Station few minutes later. All stands up and take their things. The four girls takes a step out of the train. They all stand behind the crowd of people. The four gather, waving their hands, telling each other to have a wonderful vacation. Shortly after, they disperse. Nadja and Seven goes into the thick brick platform pillar, entering the muggle world. Their vacation has now started. A few days later, Keshie however, is not slightly enjoying her vacation. Her mother would request her to do errands and take care of the house. She always waits for letters from her friends but none. She feels a little bit troubled by that but she does not really take it much into seriousness. One day, she decides to tell her parents that she will be away. Keshie decides to send an owl beforehand to Nadja, notifying her visit into the muggle world, a visit to Nadja's. As soon as she arrives at the muggle world, she looks left and right. Keshie looks from post to post, alleyways to another. This place is something new to her. She stares at children running down the streets, playing soccer.
"What are they playing?" She mumbles.
She shrugs and continues to walk down the street. However, she notices something in the corner of the street. A small girl sits in the corner while crying, two boys kicking her. Keshie feels appalled by the scene. Keshie immediately runs to the group, yelling.
"You kids should not do that! That's not nice!" Keshie shouts sharply.
"What are you gonna do?" A boy sticks her tongue.
The other boy laughs at the comment from her friend. Keshie grows annoyed.
"What if I do that to you? Will it be fun to you? Would like to be kicked around too?" Keshie points out.
The boys look at each other with mockery in their eyes. Keshie starts to swing her leg and the boys run away from her, thinking she is going to kick or hit them. A sigh escapes from Keshie. Keshie then turns to weeping girl.
"Are you alright?" Keshie asks softly.
The little girl slowly lifts her head.
"Why were they doing that to you?"
The small girl looks at Keshie in the eyes. She then averts her gaze.
"Because I'm odd.." the girl finally speaks.
"Odd?" Keshie asks.
"..they think I'm not normal.. they think I'm some kind of monster out from a coloring book.."
"Why do they think that? It's not nice of them to do that to you..."
"Because I can do things they can't.." the girl looks at Keshie, sniffling.
Keshie is taken aback from the information given to her. Keshie smiles slightly.
"It's alright to be different.. it's fine to be odd, you see, you can do things they can never do means you are special.. you have a gift in you."
The girl then stops sniffling and has sparkles in her eyes.
"You think so?" The little girl asks curiously.
"Yes, I do think so, get up and have your chin up, child," Keshie giggles, "now tell me what it is you could do that other kids can't."
There are more sparkles dancing in the child's eyes. The child runs excitedly in circles. The child pulls Keshie's lower sleeves, tugging it, signaling to follow her. Keshie obviously follows. They stop at a park. The child looks around cautiously to see if there are people around. There are not a single soul around. The girl looks at both her palms that she puts next to each other. She stretch it onto the air, Keshie watches. After a few seconds, there are small fireflies flying around in the child's vicinity. Keshie watches in amazement.
"If I show them this, I would get poked around with the other kids.." the child whines.
Keshie then kneels to be on the eye level of the girl. She then places a hand on the child's shoulder.
"Just keep this a secret between you and me, alright? You see.. you're special.. the other kids are not but please do keep your talent a secret because like you experienced, they would not understand your gifts.." Keshie smiles.
The child nods.
"Good, you see.. you have magical abilities... the kids you dealt with are muggles.."Keshie adds.
"Muggles?"
"Yes, child, muggles are non-magical people.. they have no abilities.. keep your abilities a secret because you are special.. tell me, how old are you?"
"Almost eleven.."
Keshie chuckles a bit.
"Then soon you shall receive a letter to go somewhere else to learn magic," Keshie replies.
"Somewhere else?" The child repeats.
"Yes, but keep it a secret between us two, alright?" Keshie places her index finger on her lips.
The kid smiles in agreement.
"You shall study magic soon enough and expand your abilities."
"How do you know all this stuff?" The kid circles around Keshie.
"I'm from there.," Keshie replies.
"Really? You have magic too?"
"Yes I do," Keshie laughs.
"Show me, what you can do!"
Keshie pauses and looks at the child with a bit of sadness.
"I can't.."
"Why not?"
"We are not allowed to use magic in the muggle world, not until you're eighteen," Keshie pouts slightly.
"Oh... please please, show me! I'll keep it a secret ! I promise! I promise!" The Girl pleads.
Keshie keeps shaking her head but the girl keeps asking her over and over. Keshie later then sighs and agrees in defeat.
"Fine, but keep it a secret, alright?" Keshie frowns.
"Yes, Yes!" The girl jumps.
Keshie looks around to check again but there are no muggles in sight. She pulls her wand from her inner polo shirt. The child looks with inspiration. Keshie casts Lumos. A greenish light emits at the tip of her wand. The child looks with much awe dancing in her eyes.
"Do another one!" The child begs.
"Okay, But that's it okay?"
The child nods trice.
Keshie finds a piece of paper on the grassy ground three feet from where they stand. Keshie points her wand at the direction of the paper.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Keshie shouts softly.
The paper then begins to float in the air. The child's head turns to where the paper floats.
"Will I be able to do that too?"
"Yes, in time, child," Keshie encourages.
The child then waves at her, telling her she is going home. Keshie waves back as she looks at the child running until she is gone from sight. Keshie then makes her way to Nadja's place. She stays there for few days. A few months have passed and summer vacation ends.
