Chapter 5- In a Flurry

"A troll in the dungeon.."

As soon as everyone hears that, panic ensues. Each student gets up from their tables then starts dashing through the big door. Professor Dumbledore silence everyone, instructing all to remain calm. He says that everyone must follow their prefect back to the common room. Everyone still panics into finding the prefects for their houses. Nadja calmly walks out the door while it is still full of kids in the hallway. Everyone heads at the Grand Staircase but Nadja slowly goes out the crowd, waiting for it to be less crowds. Keshie notices Nadja across the other stairs. She then makes her way down too with Light. All of the three meet at the halllway by the corridors.
"It is really packed in there.. I'm gonna wait for them to go in or like at least, less crowded," Nadja adds.
"It is crazy, everyone panicked.."Keshie replies.
All three starts to slowly walk back supposedly but they all hear something. It is like a murmur of multiple people. They all look at each other with a bit of confusion.
"We should check that out and see..?" Nadja asks.
"What if it is the troll? What would we do?" Light exclaims.
"Oh come on, I don't think trolls can sound like multiple people at once Light," Keshie replies.
Nadja makes a small chuckle while trying not to laugh at Keshie's comment.
They slowly open the corridor door and they all are surprised for what they see. A group of Slytherins circles one Slytherin girl. The girl that is being surrounded is a slightly tall girl about five-foot four. She has a long dark blackish brown hair, wearing black framed eye glasses.
"Why are you even our house? You don't belong here! You should had been in Gryffindor!" a Slytherin boy says.
"Yeah, that's where she should have belonged ! Probably the Hufflepuffs.." another replies.
"Why is there even a muggleborn in our house! What a shame in our house name! We Slytherins should be just composed of pure bloods of half bloods but not muggleborns!" another adds.
The three girls could not hold it anymore so they had to break the commotion.
"Hey you! That's extremely rude?" Nadja screams, "you should be the one ashamed of yourselves for saying that to someone in the same house as you.. you should be treating her like a family! I'm literally enraged right now."
"Oh look, what a sight, what's this? A little Gryffindor telling us this?" The odd Slytherins comment.
"You should be ashamed! Being in the same house regardless of blood status should be treated as a family member! Is that hoe Slytherins treat other Slytherins now?? How pity!" Keshie adds.
"Leave her alone! She did nothing to you!" Light replies.
There was a bit of silence as if the piano has stopped playing.
"Is this how you represent your house? Hurting or arguing on another person in the same house?!" Nadja screams.
The group of Slytherins takes aback from all the words thrown at them like rocks. Anger rises in the faces of those students but they just growl and walks off.
"Are you alright?" Nadja asks.
The girl that was picked on looks up at the girls because she has been looking down the whole time.
".. yeah.. thank you.. thank you to you three.. for having my back right there.." the girl replies.
"I'm Nadja, these are my friends: Keshie and Light."
Both Light and Keshie smiles at the mysterious Slytherin girl.
"And you are?" Nadja tilts her head.
"I'm Seven Anguis.. nice meeting you three."
The three girls smile.
"Why don't we go to the courtyard and talk.. I think you have plenty to say, don't you?" Light suggests.
"Okay," Seven agrees.
The girls make their way to the courtyard. The girls sit at the fountain in the middle of the courtyard.
"So, why are they like that to you?" Keshie starts.
"Because I'm a muggleborn sorted into Slytherin.. they think I don't belong there at all."
"What a petty excuse for them.. I'm sorry, I shouldn't had said that but what they did is so wrong," Light flares.
"You have a reason to be in that house.. we are sorted in our house for reasons not only because of your blood status.. there are many reasons, depending on who is sorted.." Nadja discusses, "just don't put their words through you too much."
"Yeah, it's gonna be alright! You are sorted in to Slytherin probably because you have a high ambition, maybe because you're cunning? You want a big goal in life or maybe because you want to step into a big goal?" Keshie enlightens.
Seven falls silent after hearing these words from the other girls. Her shoulders soften a bit from used to be tense.
"You're right..thank you so much for your help, I'll remember this truly! You three," Seven smiles.
They get interrupted by a sound of footsteps. They all look to see who it is: Dumbledore.
"Tell me children, why are you all not in your common rooms?" Dumbledore raises an eyebrow.
"Well, uhh.. it was really crowded and we waited for it to be less but we got distracted.." Nadja explains.
"What is this distraction?" Dumbledore continues.
Light, Nadja and Keshie looks a bit nervous, trying to find an excuse. A voice interrupts the small silence they all make.
"It was me.. Professor Dumbledore.. I distracted them," Seven lies.
Nadja looks at Seven in a bit of confusion but both eyebrows up in surprise.
"No, you see.. Professor.." Nadja interrupts.
"Enough, I see no one wants to say..very well, this is not a good time for you to be here" Dumbledore chides, "what if the troll finds you?!"
All of the girls look down to the ground, guilty.
"Now what I am going to do is.."
The girls tense up even more nervously.
"Plus 10 points to each of your houses."
They look up in a hurry from surprise, expecting points taken away from their houses but instead the opposite. They all look at the Dumbledore who is smiling now.
"Earlier.. you were just mad.." Light comments .
"I do know what happened, child. You stood up for your fellow friend, which is truly remarkable.. now you all better go back to your common roo-"
"How? How did you know?" Seven interrupts.
Dumbledore puts his hands on his hips.
"Well.. I do know for one thing because I was around that time."
"Thank you Professor Dumbledore," Nadja speaks up.
Shortly, all of the girls say their thanks to Dumbledore then slowly walks away to go back in the building.
"How did he know though? He wasn't clearly there?" Light comments.
"Maybe, we just didn't notice him?" Keshie adds.
"What if he can read our minds?" Nadja chuckles.
"Really? That's rubbish!" Keshie laughs.
"Oh come on, you do know that he's one of the most powerful wizards out there, I won't be surprised," Light exclaims.
They all wave as they make their way to the common room. The four surely know for sure that they made a new friend.
