(Y/n) opens a closet and searches inside. "Nothing useful in there." She mumbled, before closing. She then looked over to her left and saw a picture frame. She lifted the picture frame to reveal Larry and his parents. They looked happy.
Sal walked behind (Y/n) and peered over her shoulder. Then suddenly his Gear Boy, to which he had brought with him, started to glitch and make a small static noise. "Huh, that's strange." (Y/n) and Larry looks over at Sal as the girl and raises a brow. "What is that?"
"I found this weird Gear Boy cartridge in the Lost and Found box a while ago. I think it reacts to supernatural activity." He explained while (Y/n) placed the picture down. Larry looked over at the picture (Y/n) placed down and began to explain, "That was one of the last pictures we took together. Not long before he disappeared."
"Hm, we better keep looking," Sal muttered as him and (Y/n) go back to searching. While looking, Sal encountered a chest and decided to open it up. Magazines, small toys, and a few clothes were thrown in it. Just as Sal was about to close the chest, he spotted an odd-looking silver box. He picked it up and closed the chest, turning to Larry and (Y/n) as he announces.
"What's in the box?" The two look over at him as Sal strolls over to Larry, inspecting the box. Larry shrugs. "I have no idea, man. It belonged to my dad. It's some kind of puzzle box. Never could figure out how to open it though." While inspecting, Sal points out. "Looks like there's a piece missing." (Y/n) walked over to the boys and looked at the box. "Oh yeah, you're right. I never noticed that before." Larry said.
Sal rips his eyes away from the box and looks up at Larry. "Do you mind if I hold on to this?" His friend nods. "Nah, go ahead."
"Cool."
"Just let me know when you get it open."
"Of course."
Then, a cold wind hit (Y/n)'s face as she shivers a bit. "It's starting to get chilly up in here..." Sal nodded, placing the box in his hoodie. "Yeah, I was just about to say that, we should go back inside." The three then walk down the ladder of the tree house and began to walk back to Larry's apartment.
While silence filled the air and the sound of snow crunching, (Y/n) thought of an idea. She quickly started to make two snowballs and then chucked it at Larry and Sal's head. Once the snowballs hit against the back of their heads, they nearly tumble down, but they were able to regain their balance.
They shoot theirs heads behind to see a snickering (Y/n). Under Sal's prosthetic, he smirks as he goes to start forming snowballs. "You're getting it now." (Y/n) stopped her laughter and tried to quickly make more snowballs, but she gets hit in the head by Larry's.
Larry chuckles as Sal had finally made his ammo. (Y/n) shoots up and starts to run away, screaming a bit as Sal started to chase her with the snow. "This isn't fair!" (Y/n) cried, giggling a bit.
"You caused this war to happen, missy." Sal teased before tripping on a clump of snow. This gave the opportunity to gather snow, but she was picked up by Larry and was thrown into a huge snow clump. (Y/n) shoots Larry a playful glare before tossing a snowball at his face. "I've been hit, man down!" Larry screeched, falling on the snow with a laugh.
(Y/n) chuckles and carries her snow ammo, looking for Sal cautiously. He was nowhere to be found. (Y/n) squinted her eyes until she felt a heavy pile of snow pummels down on her. She grunts, pulling herself up before she falls back on the snow by somebody's weight.
"Whose on top of me..." (Y/n) wheezed as she heard a snicker. "That would be me." It was Sal. Of course. "Where did you come from? I couldn't find you." Sal shrugs, stilling laying on her. "I was behind the tree house."
"Dammit." He finally gets up and holds out his hand for (Y/n). She gladly accepts it and grabs his hand, pulling herself up and looking over to see Larry brushing the snow off of his hoodie. "Alright, I think we had enough snow time. Let's go back inside."
Sal and (Y/n) nodded, still holding each other's hands as they follow Larry back inside his apartment. Once inside, the three remove their jackets, beanies, and gloves as they rested a bit. Sal looks over at Larry and states, bringing up the topic from when they were in the tree house, "(Y/n) and I are gonna look around and see what else we can find out." Larry nodded. "Ok, sounds good. I sort of have to stay here and take care of my mom. She's super sick."
(Y/n) sighed. "Yeah, we noticed that. Well, let us know if there's anything you need." Larry gives his friends a small smile. "Thanks, guys." They smile back at him and leave his room. Just as they were about to leave the apartment, Sal said, "We should ask Megan if she knows anything about this demon. I hope she'll come out today."
What Sal was talking about was that him and (Y/n) have been recently talking to Megan, to which she turns out to be a ghost, on the 5th floor. (Y/n) nodded, twisting the doorknob. "Yeah, hopefully, we can find some answers."
And then they leave the apartment.
