A few months later, it was finally Summer Break. During the time, Larry recently got his driver's license, so he decided to take the group to go swimming at Wendigo Lake. So now, (Y/n) was in her room, grabbing the supplies she needed and throwing them in a spare backpack.
She threw on some clothes over her swimsuit and zipped up her backpack. She exits her bedroom and called out to her mom. "I'm heading out, mom!" Her mom pokes her head out of her room and smiles, replying, "Have fun, sweetheart! Remember to apply sunscreen!"
"I will, bye!" She then closed the front door and went over to Sal's door, knocking on it. There was a moment until the door open. "Heya, (N/n)." Sal greeted. "You got everything you need?" (Y/n) asked him as he nodded, adjusting the bag he was holding. "Yeah, let's head out the front, Larry told me that he'll be over at the car with Todd."
(Y/n) nodded and the two made their way to the front. They meet up with Larry and Todd and enter the car as Larry began to drive to Ash's neighborhood. It was a bit difficult, due to looking for her address, but eventually, they found her house. Ash noticed the car approach and headed out the door. She waved at them as she opened the backdoor of the car, sitting down next to (Y/n).
After that, Larry drove them to Wendigo Lake. When they arrived, they noticed that no one else was here, which meant more fun for the gang. They first placed their stuff down on the grass, applied sunscreen, and then jumped into the water, well, Larry did. Ash and Todd slowly got in which lead to (Y/n) eventually getting in. (Y/n) noticed Sal slowly approaching the water, making the girl smirk. "It's not that cold if that's what you're thinking."
"You're lying."
"What makes you think that, hm?"
"You're smirking, which is a bad sign."
"Not always."
The boy rolled his eyes before stepping back. He then charged at the water then jumped. Once he touched the water, a chill went up to his spine due to the cold. "I thought you said it was warm!" (Y/n) gave a playful shrug. "I didn't say it was warm, princess. I said it wasn't that cold." She could her a groan come out of his mouth before a huge splash of water soaked her hair and face.
"You did not!"
"Oh, I did."
(Y/n) splashed him back, and that, began a war. They aggressively continued to splash each other until a huge wave hit them. They look over to see a smirking Larry, Ash, and Todd. "Every man for themselves!" Shouted (Y/n) as she began splashing over to the three.
They all let out laughs as they either dodge, or get hit by the water. After a while, they decided to play chicken fight. Ash got on Larry's shoulder while (Y/n) got on Sal's. The tug-a-war was intense. Ash wasn't giving up. So was (Y/n).
Eventually, they both fell off, which made everyone laugh. This was nice. No paranormal activity happening. No nothing. Everyone needed this after finding the Cult's lair. The five got out the lake and laid on their towels, eating lunch as they continued to make jokes and such. They were joking around so much, that they didn't notice Larry slip away.
"Hey, where did Larry go?" Todd questioned, making everyone look among themselves. "Hey, guys!" They look over to see him standing at a cliff, meters high from the lake. He backed away, before sprinting towards the edge, jumped, and screamed.
"Cannonball!" A huge splash formed around Larry as soon as he made contact with the water. He resurfaced and shook his head, moving his long hair to the side. Now everyone wanted to do that.
The four rushed over to the cliff and looked down to see Larry staring up at them, waving as well. "Who's going first?" Ash questioned. Sal zoomed his hand in the air. "I'll do it!"
"Where did this confidence come from, hm?" (Y/n) teased. Sal just shrugs before taking a few steps back, and run towards the edge of the cliff. He jumps, falls, and causes a much bigger cannonball than Larry did. Ash, (Y/n), and Todd eventually jumped into the water as well as they continued they continue to have a blast.
But eventually, the day had to come to an end. They dropped Ash off as the four went to their separate ways in the apartment. (Y/n) told Sal he could sleep over at her place since her mom was at work and. He agreed and the two joked, laughed, play games, and many more for the rest of the night.
(A/n: I'm sorry that I haven't updated! I fell out of the fandom a bit of a while and I was busy with state tests and end of the school year tests! But I promise I'll get these updated in no time. See you in the next one!)
