This is going to be very cliché. Sorry. And I'm back! Sorry for the wait

<----------------------->

After that event, (Y/n) would have reoccurring nightmares and sometimes night terrors. Sal was always there with her though. He knew how to calm her down. It made him upset though that his crush was even being attacked through her dreams, and he didn't want that.

The nightmares have died down a bit though after Christmas. (Y/n) started to smile a lot more than before, which made Sal happy. The two and Larry, Todd, and Ash had thrown a Christmas Party and gave each other gifts. Larry got a new album from Sanity's Fall, Todd got some books he always wanted, Ash got new films for her camera, (Y/n) got a black sweater and a new sketchbook, and Sal got a sketch of him, a group photo, and another sweater.

During the party, Larry tried to make the two kiss under the mistletoe, but it didn't work out. He tried to do seven minutes in heaven, but the two just joked around in the closet. He even tried to do Truth or Dare, but the two seemed to always pick truth a lot than a dare.

Now, it was New Year's Eve. The group was huddled inside Larry's tree house, wearing warm clothes, laughing, and talking. They had a radio and fireworks ready for the countdown. Sal was ready for this year to be over. Not because of the past events, but in midnight, he wanted to give (Y/n) a New Year's kiss.

He was ready to confess his feelings to her as he had discussed this to Larry two days before.

'Hey, Sally Face. Where's (Y/n)? Isn't she always stuck to your hip?'

'There's a reason why she isn't here...'

'Sal Fisher, did you make her cry?'

'What? No! I would never hurt her. It's actually, so-something else...'

'Well, spit it out, dude.'

'Since New Year's Eve is coming in two days, I want to give (Y/n) the New Year's kiss and confess to her...'

'Wait, dude. Are you actually going to do it?'

'Yeah, I'm ready.'

'Well, good luck man!'

Looking back at the conversation, Sal blushed a bit, but he was full with confidence to do it. He looked over at Larry, who gave him a reassuring smile. Sal nodded back to him and looked over at (Y/n), who was laughing and whispering with Ash.

"What are you girls laughing at?" Larry chuckled as they looked over at him. "Nothing that concerns you, Lar-bear." They stuck out their tongues at him as he rolls his eyes at the nickname. "I told you guys not to call me that."

"You know we're never going to let that die until we do."

"Sadly, that is true." The group laughs until they hear the sound of the radio boom. "SHH! The radio's playing guys!" Todd exclaimed as they all quiet down. A news reporter's voice boomed through the radio as they can clearly hear people cheering in the background. "Two more minutes!" The reporter proclaimed, "Two more minutes until the start of our New Year!"

They all smile with excitement and grab the fireworks and radio and headed down to the snowy ground. Ash and Todd placed some of the fireworks on the ground and brought out matches, ready to light them once they were ready for the signal.

"One minute left!" The report screeched.

Sal stood beside (Y/n) and brought out confetti poppers. He popped one near (Y/n)'s face, making her shriek a bit and giggle. She popped one back before hearing the countdown.

"10!"

Larry, Ash, and Todd were ready to light the fireworks up as (Y/n) joined in the countdown while Sal watched her.

"9!"

He was sweating a bit. Rethinking about his plan. Should he not go for it? No. He waited too long and he wanted to finally let all his emotions out.

"8!"

Larry, Ash, and Todd lit the matches as a small smoke formed out.

"7!"

Sal shuffled closer to (Y/n) as she continued the countdown.

"6!"

The three kneeled down on the ground and were ready to light the fireworks out.

"5!"

(Y/n) begin to smile with excitement.

"4!"

Sal grabbed her hand into his and looked away, turning pink.

"3!"

(Y/n) stopped counting down and let the reporter continue as she turned to Sal, slightly blushing.

"2!"

Sal looked back at her and pushed his mask to the side as he goes and leans forward.

"1!"

The fireworks were launched as Sal had connected his lips onto (Y/n)'s. She was shocked. Her crush was kissing her. After her mini-shock, she kissed back while hearing Larry, Todd, and Ash whistle and whoop for the two. The two broke away, panting a bit as Sal looks away in embarrassment, fixing his mask back on.

"Sorry."

"What's there to be sorry? I like you too, Sal."

Sal nearly chocked the air. In fact, he did. He started to cough before turning to her. "Really?" She nodded. "No, duh, ding-dong. I've been anticipating for that kiss for months."

"WHOO! FINALLY!" They turn to see Larry hollering and cheering.

They laugh and roll their eyes playfully and walk over to the three, hand in hand. For the rest of the night, the group had a blast. They continued to launch fireworks, joke around, and many more.

(Y/n) and Sal were extremely happy. They finally kissed after many and many months of waiting. Around 3 am, the group went inside Larry's room and they decided to have a sleepover. (Y/n) wore the black sweater and long, warm, pants as her PJ's as the others wore regular PJ's.

Eventually, they all fell asleep as (Y/n) and Sal were laying on each other in their sleep.
