Brina was walking down the lit-up, empty hallway to her science classroom. She hated science. Especially since everyone thought she was a nerd. It wasn't her fault that no one else actually studied or actually did their homework. All her grades had always been A's and B's. Meanwhile, everyone else has C's and below average. She thought about charging for doing their homework, but then she'd get caught and sent to detention.
Not something she needed.

The teacher had a box on each groups desk.

"Everyone take your seats. Today we are doing an experiment. I want you to put your hand in the box without looking, and write down what you think it is with your name and pass it forward."

The class did as told, some shrieks going around. She stuck her hand in the box, and immediately knew what it was. Writing down her answer on the paper with her name, feeling confident, she passes it forward.

"Now I want everyone to open their boxes." The guy next to her, whose name she had forgotten, looked at her.
"Do you want to, or should I?"

She shakes her head. "I'll take that as a no." He laughs. He lifts the lid. She was right. It was a frog. Today was a dissection. She had a note from her parents that she didnt have to sit in the class while they did the dissection.
So, she stood and walked to the teacher, pulling the note from her parents out and giving it to the teacher and walked out.
