Gwen looked over the ingredients that were now laid out on the counter top noting the frozen dinners that were quickly shoved in the freezer. "Don't cook much at home?" she questioned.

He shrugged while putting some dry pasta in a lower cupboard, "Naw, like I said I know the basics, but I don't usually have the time, plus when I do I'd rather relax" he said.

She nodded understanding, she wasn't a stranger to the random frozen dinner, but she mostly cooked at home due to her occupation. Gwen started picking through some of the ingredients figuring out a dinner she could make with the limited supplies. "Maybe I should get you a crock pot in thanks" she chuckled.

Backing his head out of the cabinet he was in, he gave her a sarcastic look that said 'Even if you get it for me I wouldn't use it'.

She shrugged sipping the water she had gotten while he was out in the snow earlier, "Can't say I didn't offer" she said into the glass.

Rolling his eyes he went back to putting away his supplies.

Peeking into his cabinets she saw a bag of flower, removing it and checking the expiry date she nodded checking off an ingredient on her recipe list in her head. "Do you have any milk?" she questioned her eyes now roaming over his spice rack.

"Uhhh", he paused, stopping what he was doing and went to the fridge and opened it not sure. "Yup, got some" he said pulling out a half empty gallon of milk.

"Perfect", she smiled pulling out a few spices and taking out the pasta he had just put away. "How does mac and cheese with..." she paused looking over the remaining items on the counter. "Garlic rosemary butter steak tips?" she said forming the menu as she said it.

He frowned, "But I didn't buy mac and cheese" he said confused.

"Oh, I can make it, I don't usually buy the boxed stuff either, but I saw you bought some cheddar cheese, so it fit my recipe, not exactly, but it should be ok none the less" she said now digging though his junk draw of kitchen supplies.

"You... you can just make mac and cheese?" he questioned surprised and vaguely impressed.

"Yup" she looked up at him amused, "Why, is it that surprising I can cook?" she asked.

"No, more impressed that you memorized the recipe", he grinned slightly.

She shrugged a little but blushed at the compliment, but it was one of her favorite things to make at home during cold days, and so was made often.

"Do you have... ah there" she said spotted a cast iron pan and pot hanging up next to the currently dead stove. Stretching up on her toes her fingers just grazed the pan making it sway a little.

Douglas stood amused at the adorable site of the woman attempting to reach the pans above her head while biting her lip looking like she was determined and having fun. Now seeing her look around for the non existent step stool he gave in and walked over leaning over her form and reached up for the pan himself.

Gwens breath stopped for a moment feeling the warmth of Douglas's chest against her back as she was pinned against the counter. Looking up she saw his paw reach up for the pan and easily grab the handle. She swallowed, her eyes still looking up at the bear, 'He is so big' she noted and felt a flash of heat go on her face as he pressed against her a little tighter as he reached to grab the pot she had wanted as well.
