It was getting harder by the minute to keep up with Aragorn. Storming threw the forest with most hatred filled look of vengeance across his face. Legolas had called to Aragorn every so often to slow down and think about what he was doing. Every time Aragorn would just send a hurtful glare but Legolas knew not to be upset by it that it is just Aragorn's anger and hurt over Elrond's death.

Breaking threw the last bit of trees the men suddenly all stopped as an arrow was shot toward them and embedded it self in a tree. Legolas held up his bow scanning the area and spotted the archer that shit at them and smiled lowering his weapon seeing the armor. One of Galadriel's elves was perched in a tree ahead and jumped down as Aragorn approached. Legolas watched as Aragorn and this archer exchanged words, sighing to himself in a bit of relief that Aragorn had finally seemed to be getting a grip on himself just a tad bit.
"Galadriel and her forces are camped out just ahead" Aragorn said to everyone. "We go there and join forces then figure out a plan from there understood." All the men showed their agreement quickly looking relieved to be able to rest finally. Legolas didnt blame the men they have been going non stop since the camp was attacked last night everyone was tired even himself they all needed time to rest and regroup before they rushed off into battle.

Walking into what seemed to be a meadow the army sighed in relief seeing the elven army in front of them. "Aragorn I was starting to wonder if you were going to show up." Aragorn turned to the voice seeing none other than Galadriel sitting calmly by a tent. "Why are you stopped why aren't you still chasing down the enemy" Galadriel just smiled at Aragorn and shook her head slightly. "Why send my tired men into battle so quickly. They will only end up getting harmed they need to rest and by the looks of it so do yours." Aragorn shook his head frowning "No we can go on for a bit longer." Legolas sighed stepping toward Aragorn and put a hand on his shoulder. "The men need some rest first mellonin they will get slaughtered if you send them into a fight with the way they are right now. Some are slightly wounded as well from the attack on the camp last night." This seemed to anger Aragorn a bit Legolas could feel it in the air around him but Aragorn turned to look at his men. Aragotn looked his men up and down and silently agreed that Galadriel and Legolas were right the men did need to rest. Dismounting his horse Aragorn passed it off to one of the men and walked away sitting under a tree. Galadriel smiled turning to Legolas. "So how was your journey from Gondore" Legolas looked at the female elf and could see sadness behind her eyes and sat down. "We were attacked multiple times, lost a lot of men before we made it close to Rivendell." Galadriel nodded looking a bit concerned "Me and my army also were attacked several times while traveling. The first few times we knew exactly who attacked us but in the end the last attacks we didnt see anyone." Legolas frowned "That's the same with us the first two attacks were trolls and ork but the last one that took out our camp we never saw who did it. Then when we arrived in Rivendell we could only find the residents of Rivendell" Galadriel nodded and looked a bit sadder at the mention of Rivendell. "Rivendell has fallen something I never thought I would see. My men wouldnt let me inside the castle, all they had said was Elrond was gone." Legolas looked down the sites he saw in that castle coming back to him. "Elrond was murdered in the worst way possible. Aragorn was hit by it badly." Galadriel sat with her hands in her lap shaking. It was no secret that at some point in time Elrond and Galadriel shared some sort of bond other than friendship but Legolas didnt know the full extent of it till he felt the sudden rush of pain and sadness wash over Galadriel. "What state was he in when you found him, my men wont tell me anything." Legolas sighed swallowing the lump that had formed in his throat. "It was so disrespectful, they had beheaded him his body was sitting up in his thrown but his head was mounted on a torch on the wall. Aragorn removed the head and covered it.... he is in so much pain. First Arwen now Elrond." Galadriel nodded but showed no sadness on her face which Legolas knew was a mask to keep everyone around her level headed. No one wanted to see their leader in tears. "Well at least Aragorn has you." Galadriel said softly with a knowing look. Legolas stood awkwardly looking at the female ruler. "Ya I guess" Galadriel stood
"Well I must retire to my tent for the night we will discuss matters in the morning."

Legolas watched as Galadriel ducked into a tent then sighed turning back to the tree where Aragorn was sitting smoking pipe. Walking over Legolas looked down at him with a small smile. "Alright Aragorn let's get you to bed you need some rest." Aragorn shook his head slowly taking another puff. "Aragorn please your exhausted I can see it." Aragorn continued to sit in his spot and Legolas sighed loudly dropping down next to Aragorn. They were both silent for a while till Aragorn finally spoke. "I cant sleep, I cant rest till I avenge Elrond." Legolas looked at the man and frowned. "But you won't be able to avenge him if your exhausted while fighting, just please rest for a little while." Aragorn was silent again for a while till he smoked his pipe completely and stood looking at the tent his men had set up for him earlier. "I dont know if I can sleep, everytime I close my eyes I see the destruction of Rivendell." Legolas stood and grabbed Aragorn's hand pulling him lightly. "Come on" they walked to the tent and Legolas ducked inside pulling aragorn along with him. The moment Aragorn got into the tent Legolas started to help him remove his armor. "Just lay down Aragorn" Aragorn listened and layed on his bed but sighed knowing sleep wasnt going to come to him.

Legolas walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "Now go to sleep I'll stay here till you do." Aragorn shook his head. "I can't" Sighing Legolas layed down next to Aragorn cuddling up to him "alright then let's talk till you do fall asleep."
