Michael and I walked up and back into Ashton's room, where Ashton was tied down to the foot board of his bed. Luke and Calum sat there staring at him.

"What did you two idiots do?!" I yelled.

"He kept squirming." Luke shrugged.

Ashton sat there glaring at me. His eyes were full of betrayal and loneliness. His lips started to quiver. I trusted you. his face screamed.

"Guys, can I have a minute alone with Ash? If i need anything I'll scream. Besides, he's tied up anyway." I said. Luke and Calum stood up, peering at Michael to see what he'd do. Michael kissed me on the head and said: "I will be sitting outside the door. Don't cause too much trouble." he said, and left hesitantly.

"Ashton I.. I.." I stuttered.

"You said you'd be there for me. You said that we would get through it together." he said, staring at the floor again.

"Ashto-" I started.

"YOU SAID YOU'D FUCKING BE THERE." he interrupted. Michael peeked into the room.

"Michael it's fine. Go watch the telly with the guys or something." I instructed. Michael shut the door.

"Stop fucking telling people what to do. You think that you make everything better but you don't. You are a selfish piece of shit and... and... Screw you." he fumbled with his words.

"Ash, I am here for you don't you understand that? I jumped out a frickin' window for you." I screamed.

"Did you do it for me? Did you really? Or did you just do it because you're Little Miss Perfect who thought she would be saving the day?" he accused

"I wasn't saving the day, I was saving you!" I screamed.

"I DIDN'T WANT TO BE SAVED." he yelled.

I sighed, because I knew that. That's why I let him jump. My question is, why did I jump too? I didn't know what to do. So I left, but I wasn't done. I went to Michael's room and grabbed a pen. I came back into Ashton's room and sat down next to him. I untied him.

I uncapped the pen and grabbed his arm. I drew a little butterfly and wrote my name under it.

"What the fuck is that?" he asked.

"Butterflies symbolize strength. I signed my name under it because I am the one who will give you the strength." I said.

"That is so lame." he said.

"So am I." I laughed.

"That was even more lame." he smiled slightly. I poked his cheek, causing him to smile even more.

"I missed your smile." I whispered. Ashton and I both started to cry. We were sitting in a puddle of tears when he ran his fingers through my hair. He grabbed the pen and lifted up my shirt just enough to show my waist. He uncapped the pen and drew a life preserver. He then lifted up his own shirt and drew an anchor on his waist.

"Why?" I asked.

"You see, I've already sunk. But I refuse to let you sink." he smiled.

"You always reel an anchor back in." I told him.

"I know." he said.

"DON'T YOU TWO DARE KISS." I heard Calum scream from behind the door. Those lousy eavesdroppers.  Ashton and I both started laughing.

"Can we come in now? We want to see your tattoos!" Luke screamed.

"Guys!!! Their having a moment!" We heard Michael say in a very loud "whisper". "SORRY CARTER AND ASH, CARRY ON." Michael screamed.

"It's fine, come in." I giggled. Calum and Luke came crashing through the door. Michael walked in slowly behind them, with his hands in his pockets.

"Where are they?" Calum asked.

"They're on our waists." I said. Luke pulled up my shirt.

"Hey! Only I can do that!" Michael screamed, whacking Luke's shoulder. Calum started giggling.

"Haha no you do not." I smirked.

Luke ran his finger down my life perserver and Calum was staring at Ashton's anchor. Michael plopped down next to me.

"Good job babe." he whispered into my ear. I layed my head on his shoulder, but what Michael couldn't see, was I was holding Ashton's hand. We didn't let go.
