Chapter 3: Page 13

Takara: "She doesn't need to say her last words!"

Sonikku: "Takara! I...I thought I killed you!"

Takara: "I'll explain all later, but right now I need to stop this green bastard once and for all!"

Scourge: "I've defeated you goodie-two-shoes so many times, and yet you never give up."

*Scourge puts Sonikku down and she coughs trying to regain her breath. Scourge comes charing at Takara*

                                                                            Meanwhile

*Silver and Blaze were at the city's library reading books. Silver was still trying to find out what is a phantom entity. And what kind Sonikku's dealing with*

Blaze: "Silver, did you watch the video Scourge sent out?"

Silver: "..."

Blaze: "Silver? SILVER!"

*Silver jolts up*

Silver: "Yeah Blaze?"

Blaze: "I asked you if you've seen the video that Scourge put up."

Silver: "Oh...yes I have."

Blaze: "I didn't know there was an 8th chaos emerald."

Silver: "Me either, but Sonic could take care of it. Shadow too."

*Blaze looks down at the old book that Silver is reading. The one they found mouths ago*

Blaze: "You're still reading that book, aren't you?"

Silver: "Yeah, I still want to find out what kind of phantom entity is within Sonikku. If anything, it could be dangerous."

Blaze: "It's been a while since we last found that book. I'm surprised at the fact you still have it. I feel if Sonikku's entity was evil, it would have done something by now."

Silver: "I don't know, but we can't take any chances."

Blaze: "If you say so."

                                                                         Back with Takara

*Takara creates an ice wall for protection, but Scourge breaks right through it and grabs both her shoulders. Takara is then swung across the room and slams into Sonic's cage*

Sonic: "Takara, you can't fight him. Not once he has the seven chaos emeralds, plus the 8th one."

Takara: "I have...to try."

*Takara gets back up and starts to shoot some ice spears at Scourge. He dodges all of them grabbing the last one and throwing it back. Takara dodges and now makes a giant ice ball. Before she had time to throw it, Scourge pulls out the 8th emerald*

Scourge: "CHAOS IGNITE!!!"

*Fire bursts out. Takara jumps out of the way and the fire melts the ice ball. Some of the fire hits Sonic's cage, busting it open. He was able to escape, so he ran over to Sonikku, and grabs her. Before he runs away, Sonikku blasts her chaos spears at Scourge. It hits him in his weak spot causing him to break out of his super form, back to his green color. This gave Takara an advantage to grab all the emeralds, including the 8th one. She runs away with Sonic and they escaped. Scourge regains conscienceness, and when he does he realized that the emeralds are gone and Sonic, Sonikku, and Takara had escaped*

Scourge: "Shit! NO MY EMERALDS! I'll kill you Sonikku! I still have the final part of my master plan left!"

                                                                         10 Months Later

*Everyone were at Rookie's funeral. They all had a final chance to say goodbye. It took place at Green Hill Zone. There was pictures of Rookie everywhere, and a big one at the front of the crowd of people, on a stand. Shadow was able to fully recover from his state, and is under Rouge's care. Both of them didn't go to the funeral because Sonic was there. Sonic was able to have full custody of Shady since Shadow is unable to take care of him. Amy was at the casket with Knuckles standing next to her holding Elena*

Amy: "Rookie was a wonderful member of the resistance. A brave and honest soul is was. If it wasn't for him, we would have all perished, and our world would have been destroyed. He will be truly missed."

Knuckles: "All I want to say is, I'm sorry Rookie for not having your back. If only I had been there for you sooner, you would still be alive. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me."

Amy: "We are all hurting from this, but we have to find the strength...*sniff*...to live without him. Rookie, if you can hear me up there, I hope you're happy. You can now rest in peace with your mother."

*After a few minutes, it was time for everyone to come up and look at Rookie for the last time. Knuckles opens the casket, and everyone went up there. They said a few kind words and then went back to their seats. The casket was placed in the ground, and Knuckles, Silver, and Tails started to bury it. Amy watches while holding her baby and tears pouring down her face. Elena, who was 10 months old can see everything that's happening. She doesn't understand, but she just watches. After they were down the funeral ended, and everyone went home. Sonic comes up to Amy and Knuckles with Sonikku, Shady, and Takara*

Sonic: "I'm sorry for your loss."

Amy: "Oh Sonic, thank you for that. I needed it."

Sonikku: "Poor Rookie."

Takara: "I feel so bad for him. I hope who ever killed him gets imprisoned for life."

Amy: "5 months ago in court, Rookie's dad Andrew was forced to plead guilty to avoid the death sentenced. He was sentenced to life in prison, without the possibly of parole."

Sonic: "He's been put away for good. But it still doesn't fix what has already been broken."

Takara: "But in the end, everything will be alright."

Amy: "Thank you, Sonic. I heard that you and Shadow broke up."

Sonic: "Yeah, and I also heard he tried to kill himself over it. Rouge blames me for it."

Tails: "It doesn't matter what Rouge thinks. You did what you felt was right for your children. Who cares about what Rouge thinks? She doesn't have children, so she doesn't know how much work your under."

Sonic: "Thanks Tails."

Takara: "We should go now, Sonic."

Sonic: "Alright, see ya Amy."

                                                                                Later

*Shadow was on the top of Rouge's roof about to jump. Rouge was above him, watching him*

Rouge: "Shadow, get over him. He doesn't love you anymore."

Shadow: "That's why I have to do it. It feels cold without him."

*Rouge then grabs Shadow, and brings him down to the ground safely. Surprisingly, Shadow didn't put up a fight. He kept thinking about Sonic, and couldn't stop*

Rouge: "Shadow, you don't need Sonic. If he loved you, he would have stayed with you."

Shadow: "But I put Sonikku in danger, twice. I also put Shady in danger for leaving him alone. If you had not been there, he would have been all alone. And god knows what would have happened to him."

Rouge: "It doesn't matter. Sonic deserves everything bad to happen to him. He lefted you, and made you almost kill yourself. You deserve way better."

Shadow: "Rouge, just leave me alone."

Rouge: "I can't do that knowing you're gonna try to hurt yourself again."

Shadow: "LEAVE ME ALONE!"

*Shadow dashes away to go find an isolated place. Rouge on the other hand tries flying after him. All she wishes is for Shadow to get over it, and go back to normal*
