Chapter 3: Page 2

                                                                            A few months later

*Amy and Rookie just made it home from the hospital with their new child, Elena. Rookie opens the door and Amy walks inside with the child*

Amy: "Home sweet home.

Rookie: "You're right about that."

*Amy then walks to the baby's room and puts Elena down for a nap*

Amy: "Goodnight Elena. Sweet dreams."

*All of a sudden there was a knock on the door. Rookie went to the door and opened it. Their was a red wolf that looked just like Rookie. It took Rookie a few minutes to realize it was his father*

Rookie's Dad: "Hello son, long time no see."

Rookie: "What do you want, you selfish jerk?"

Rookie's Dad: "C'mon now, don't give me that. I've been watching you and I see that you have a child of your own. Can I see her.?"

Rookie: "After everything you've done to me in the past, you really think that I would let you see my child? I knew you were dumb, but this is just sad. Of course, you can't see her. My child doesn't need to know that she has a jerk for a grandfather."

Rookie's Dad: "C'mon son, I...

Rookie: "DON'T CALL ME YOUR SON! I'M NOT YOUR SON! I'M NOTHING TO YOU, SO JUST LEAVE!"

*Amy walks out of the room to see what's going on*

Amy: "Rookie, Elena is sleeping."

*Amy then sees the red wolf*

Amy: "Who is this guy?"

Rookie: "My jerk of a father. He was just leaving."

Rookie's Dad: "I don't like your tone at me. I just came here to say: I'm sorry for everything that happened in the past. I should've paid for the treatment for your mother, but I was selfish."

*Out of anger, Rookie grabs his father by the shirt, pushes him into a wall outside the apartment*

Rookie: SORRY ISN'T GONNA BRING MY MOTHER BACK! I SHOULD KILL YOU RIGHT NOW FOR WHAT YOU DID!

Amy: "Rookie! Please stop!"

Rookie: "Amy, please stay out of this and go back to Elena."

*Knuckles then comes walking and sees what's going on. He runs over and pushes Rookie off his father and holds him back. Rookie struggles to get out of Knuckles' grip*

Rookie: "LET ME GO!"

Knuckles: "Woah woah, calm down Rookie. What's going on?!"

Rookie: "Stay out of it! This has nothing to do with you! Let me GO!"

*Knuckles finally let's go causing Rookie to fall on his face. His father starts to run out of the building*

Amy: "Rookie, please calm down."

*Rookie gets up*

Rookie: "Knuckles, why did you stop me?!"

Knuckles: "Because you're acting like a psycho! What's going on?"

Rookie: "Nothing, nothing is going on."

*Rookie walks past Knuckles, pulls Amy in the apartment and locks the door behind him. Knuckles stands their with concern and starts to run in the same direction as Rookie's dad hoping to catch up with him*

                                                    Meanwhile with Shadow and Sonic

*Shadow was just sitting on the couch with Sonikku holding his second child. Sonikku has a happy face watching the baby sleep in her father's arm*

Sonikku: "I can't believe I'm a big sister. He's so cute dad."

Shadow: "Yeah, he is something. I hope Sonic get's back from Tails' workshop."

*Takara walks in with a bottle of milk in her hand*

Takara: "I got the bottle for Shady here."

Shadow: "Thanks Takara."

Takara: "No problem."

*Takara hands Shadow the bottle and sits down besides him. All of a sudden, something starts to bother Takara. Shadow notices and starts to get concern*

Shadow: "What's wrong Takara?"

Takara: "I've been thinking about Scourge. I have a bad feeling. My voice hasn't been talking to me in a while."

Shadow: "Wait, did you say...voice?"

Takara: "Yes, there's a voice in my head that talks to me. She tells me what to do, how to get out of situations, and the future."

Shadow: "How long has this voice been with you?"

Takara: "Since I was Sonikku's age."

Shadow: "Sonikku has the same thing in her head. We found out it was a phantom entity. Yours might be the same thing."

Takara: "Really?"

Shadow: "Yeah."

Takara: "Maybe me and Sonikku aren't so different after all."
