*Shadow made it an isolated place. An old abandon shield, it was all beat up. The roof had holes in it. The shield itself had large holes on the side with spider webs, and ants everywhere. The shield creeked when Shadow talked inside. Inside had large pieces of wood, which was very sharp. Shadow didn't want to live anymore. He felt weak, empty, defeated, and pathetic without Sonic in his life. He goes for the piece of wood, and holds the sharp end up to his chest with his eyes closed*

Shadow Whispers: "At least I could be with you, Maria."

                                                                             Meanwhile

*Rouge flies over the city to try and find Shadow. She calls his name over and over again to no answer. She lands, and starts to walk instead. As she walks, Sonic can be seen with Sonikku, Takara, and Shady. Rouge just tries to not make any eye contact with him. Sonic does the same. Sonikku notices Rouge though*

Sonikku: "Hello Rouge."

*Rouge turns back to look at Sonikku*

Rouge: "Hello Sonikku."

*As they passed each other, Rouge looks back at the four hedgehogs behind her. She feels disgusted at how they walk so peacefully with Sonic. What made her even more mad is that Sonic didn't seen to be worried about Shadow*

Rouge: "Sonic doesn't deserve to keep those kids with him. Shadow should be caring for both Sonikku and Shady. They don't need Sonic. Takara is just making a big mistake staying with Sonic. He'll just break her heart too."

*Rouge processes to look for Shadow and finds nothing. She starts to get worried. She doesn't want to even think about Shadow killing himself. The thought was too painful for her. She then spots a shield. It was beat up. Rouge can see through the holes. What she sees is a white glove with golden rings around it, and a red thingy on it. She knew what was that, but didn't want to believe it. Rouge runs over to the shield. When she got inside, she can see Shadow laying on the floor emotionless. There was no blood, but there was that sharp piece of wood near him. Rouge runs over to his aid, and kneels down beside him*

Rouge: "Shadow?! SHADOW?! Please wake up! Please!"

*Rouge shook, and screamed for his name, but not response. For 5 minutes Rouge then realizes that Shadow wasn't gonna wake up. She rests her head down on his chest,and started crying. She cried for 15 minutes until a voice could be heard*

?????: "R...Rouge?"

*Rouge knew that voice. She raises her head up, and looks at Shadow. Shadow's eyes could be seen opening. Rouge wipes her tears away*

Shadow: "Rouge? Why are you crying?"

Rouge: "I can't believe it. You're alive!"

Shadow: "Of course I am. What did you think I was, dead?"

Rouge: "I thought you killed yourself. I was so sad. I'm glad you're okay."

Shadow: "You don't have to worry about me killing myself."

Rouge: "That's good, but what do you mean?"

Shadow: "I was just about to, but then I blacked out before I could. I had a vision. In my vision, I saw Maria. She had a very worried look on her face. She told me-

Maria: "Shadow, please don't hurt yourself. I know you're going through lots of pain, but don't end yourself. You can make things better. I know you can. Promise me you will."

Shadow: "She made me promise to make things better. So, I did. And now here I am, waking up to you crying on me."

Rouge: "Wow, that was so beautiful."
