Chapter 3

( Matts POV )

The bell rang and I quickly got out of my seat and sprinted to the door to go meet Addy . I was really excited for some reason . See I didn't really have any friends back in Virginia . I was constantly bullied all through out middle school and my 3 years in HighSchool . They called me worthless , ugly , a womanizer . All because of my ex . Alex . I broke up with her after finding out she cheated . She told the whole school my problems , insecurities , told them I would hit her , and that I would go and suck face with other girls and totaly ditch her . Which was totaly not true . She did that . And I was stupid for giving her any chances . As I reached the front of the school a slutty blonde girl came up to me .

" Matthew right ? " She smiled while twurling her blonde hair in her fingers and annoyingly chewing gum .

" Uhh yes . " I gave her an akward smile and turned around .

" Wait ! Maybe we can hangout sometime ? Like a date ? " She grabbed my bicep clinging onto it and running her hands seductivly up and down my crotch . Gross . " I can give you way more than Addy can . " She wispered in my ear . Is she trying to make me grossed out ?

" Umm... First Addy is just a friend and no thank you . I'm not looking for a relashionship right now . " She scoffed and turned around givin me a hair flip .

I walked towards the door when I saw Addy and this jock Jace against the lockers . Jace was holding Addy against them and she looked like she was about to cry . I don't know what came over me but I was feurious .

" GET AWAY FROM HER ! " I yelled and tackled him . I don't know what I was doing because of all the sudden electric rush that came over my body .

I was now ontop of Jace punching him . I could feel Addy behind my trying to pry my off Jace but right now I just wanted to rip his face off . I don't know why . I just felt like I needed to .

" MATT YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM ! " She yelled at me .

" GOOD ! " I yelled back . Once I looked at his swollen face I decided he had had enough and stood up off him . He lay there limp and unable to move . There was a huge crowd around us and everyone was cheering for me . They gave me a couple high fives and I walked out with Addy to her car .

( Addy POV )

I walked Matt over to my car and he got in and so did I . After a couple minutes of akward silence I spoke up .

" Why did you do that ? "

" What you mean beat Jace's ass ? "

" Yes . "

" Because it looked like he was hurting you . And you're my first friend in a long time , I don't want anything to happen to you . "

" Thanks Matt . Remember that I'll always be there for you . You can trust me with anything . "

" Thanks Addy I know . "

We pulled up into my driveway and I turned off the ignition .

" Wow your house is huge ! "Matt said as he came out the car .

" Ehh it's not that big here in Cali . There's much bigger . "

" Really ? No way ! " He said sounding surprized .

" Oh yeah . "

We walked inside and I led him into my bedroom . We pulled out our chemistry notes and began with the project .

30 minutes passed and I got a text message . From an unknown number...

' From : Unknown .

Long time no see sweatheart . You should know who I am . Incase you don't here's a hint : Party . I'm watching you sweet tits . Tell anyone and pretty boy goes . See you later . '

SHIT ! How did Brent get out of jail ? I thought he got 10 years for rape ? It hasn't even been 2 ! I'm so dead ! But if I tell anyone he'll hurt Matt ! I looked at Matt and all the color drained from my face .

" What's wrong ? "

" Nothing . I-I j-just remembered that i forgoty laptop in my locker ! "

" Ok..." He replied unsure .

All of a sudden I recieved another text .

' From : Unknown .

And by the way , I'll be sending you little tasks to do each day . And you better do them or the next person that will get hurt is your dear beloved brother , Taylor Micheal Caniff . Your first task is this :

Tell Matthew you don't like him . That you only agreed to be nice because you felt bad that he didn't have any friends . Tell him to get out and that you'll do the project yourself . And to never EVER talk to you again . You have 10 minutes . I'm watching ...'

I couldn't hold back my tears . They kept coming and coming .

" What's wrong Addy ? " Matt said dropping his pencil and notebook to come sit infront of me .

" M-Matt you n-need to go . I was only n-n-nice to you so you could do the project yourself . D-don't talk to me ever again . I h-h-ate y-you . " I sobbed out . I looked up and a tear escaped his eye . Anger and hurt were splashed right in his perfect light brown eyes . He stood up , grabbed his things and turned to me .

" Looks like I was wrong . Just because you move out the state doesn't mean everything gets better . " He spat and slammed the door . Seconds later I heard the front door open and then close . I walked over to the window next to the door and watched as Matt walked away with his face in his hands . I watched until he disapeared down the road and I leaned against the door and slid down crying . My first friend in over two years . and I had to let him go . I was full on sobbing now . I got another text and dared to look at it . of course . it had to be Brent .

' Good job babe . wait for tomorrow for your next task . Might wanna wake up early and check the door . I'll have a surprise . '

I held my phone dangerously tight in my hands and threw it at the wall shattering the screen into a million tiny pieces .

So I hope y'all liked this chapter :) And sorry I didn't mention this before but yes Addy is Taylor Caniffs sister . He's one year older . And Magcon hasn't happened yet . So anyway.. ILYSFM .!!!!
