When the older man returned with the two aliens, Shiro began talking to Allura about the lions of Voltron that the five humans would be piloting.
"Princess, there are five of these lions, how are we going to find the rest?" he asked. The Altean mice in Allura's hands squeaked, and the alien princess led her new allies to another room. The female stood in the middle of the room, and a blue light shone upon her.
"King Alfor connected the lions to Allura's life force. She alone is the key to the lions' whereabouts." Coran informed the five. Allura's eyes opened, and a map of the universe came to life, filling the room. The humans in the room all gasped in awe.
"Woah!"
"These are coordinates." Pidge noted. "The Black Lion looks like it's in the same location as the Blue Lion." she continued. Coran's head appeared next to her.
"Look at your primitive synapses firing away in their little brain cage."
"Very observant. That's because the Black Lion is in the castle." Allura told the young girl.
"To keep the Black Lion out of Zarkon's hands, King alfor locked it in the castle." Coran elaborated. "It can only be freed when the other four lions are present."
"As you found, the lions chose their pilots. It is a mystical bond and cannot be forced. The quintessence of the pilot is mirrored in his lion." Allura explained. "Together, they form something greater than science can explain." Allura moved her hand, swiping the map sideways. "The Black Lion is the decisive head of Voltron. It will take a pilot who is a born leader and in control at all times, someone whose men will follow without hesitation." The lion moves in front of Shiro. "That is why, Shiro, you will pilot the Black Lion.
"The Green Lion has an inquisitive personality and needs a pilot of intellect and daring. Pidge, you will pilot the Green Lion." Pidge smiles at the hologram in front of her. "The Blue Lion-" Allura starts; but is cut off by a certain cuban male.
"Hold up, let me take a guess. Takes the most handsome slash best pilot of the bunch?" Allura is unamused and moves on.
"The... Yellow Lion is caring and kind. It's pilot is someone who puts the needs of others above his own. His heart must be mighty. As the leg of Voltron, you will lift the team up and hold them together." Hunk, unsure of why the Yellow Lion hologram stopped in front of him, grunts questioningly at Allura.
"The Red Lion is temperamental and the most difficult to master. It's faster and more agile than the others, but also more unstable. It's pilot needs to be someone who relies more on instincts than skill alone." The lion flies between Keith and Lance, causing the tan cuban to smirk. However, his moment of victory is cut short. "Keith, you will fly the Red Lion." Keith smiles at the hologram.
"What? This guy?" Lance complains; causing the raven-haired boy to glare at him.
"Unfortunately, I cannot locate the Red Lion's coordinates yet. There must be something wrong with the castle." Allura explains. "After ten-thousand years, it might need some work."
"Don't worry, we'll find it soon." Coran remains positive as ever. "They don't call me 'The Coranic' for nothing." Everyone looks at him questioningly. "It's because it sounds like 'mechanic.' So... Coranic, mechanic. It's not- It doesn't sound... exactly like it. It's similar." Keith was unamused. The lions roared and everyone gasped as the mechanical holograms ran towards the center of the room in a pack.
"Once all the lions are united, you will to form Voltron," Allura says as the lions form the robot titan, "the most powerful warrior ever known, the Defender of the Universe." The hologram fades away.
