(The wolf from Aeryn's dreams)
~Zira P.O.V~
Nyx, her mate, and I were walking through the forest toward my house. My werecats had managed to round up most of Malik's supporters, but I didn't want to take any chances, especially when we had everything to lose. I had to speak with my friend in a place I knew we would not be heard.
'Why didn't you tell me your mate was Alpha Black?' I mind-linked her, not wanting him to overhear.
'You didn't ask.' She replied.
I rolled my eyes and tried my hardest to keep from smiling.
Of course the moon goddess would put them together.
Neither of us had talked to each other aloud, but the only thing disrupting the silence was Andrew Black's low growling. I had no idea why he was so angry with Nyx, but I was not about to pry into their business.
We eventually made it into my office and I quickly shut the door behind me while my companions sat on one of the couches.
"Did you talk to your grandmother?" I asked my friend as I sat down.
"Yes. The Witch Kingdom will come to our aid. If the werewolves fall, then there will be no one left to stop the vampires."
"Good. We might also have-"

Before I finished speaking, I found myself standing by a lake. My surroundings had a type of haze about them and I had no idea how I suddenly appeared here. I heard footsteps coming from behind me and I quickly turned around. My violet orbs were met with the most beautiful sapphire blue eyes. Her long golden hair, the same as mine, flowed softly in the breeze.
'That's impossible.' Gasped my cat.
"Mom." I said, tears streaming down my face. "How can you be here? Your supposed to be dead."
She walked up to me and grabbed my face in her hands. They felt cold and almost lifeless and I realized that her eyes were dull, with no spark of hope or happiness left. They only held sorrow.
"I cannot explain, I don't have enough time. I have come to warn you." She spoke, fear lacing her voice. It was as if she was afraid of being caught.
I didn't know what to say. I stood silently, trying to process how my mother was still alive.
"You cannot go to the final trial. He will be there." She continued.
"But that's impossible! There's no way he-"
She held her hand up to silence me.
"There are other ways, but he must not know you are still alive, or it will endanger everything you have fought for."
