Chapter 3: hanging out

Hayes' POV

Today Mack and I are going to hangout and I am actually really happy to see her again. I should ask for her number today. Today our family's are taking us to the neighborhood pool. I just hope Steven isn't there. He didn't seem that nice yesterday. Rubbing it in my face that Mack is his girlfriend. Annoying.

I walked outside and saw him heading for Mack's house. Really! He was coming! How I hate my life right now!! I beat him to her house and knocked on her door. He mom opened and told us to come in. I went upstairs cause I followed Cameron and saw Mack in her room. I knocks and she said to come in.

"Hey!" she said

"Hi, what's up?"

"Nothing I was just waiting for you ad your family." She said

"Wait, it's just our families?"

"Yeah why?" she asked

"Well I saw Steven coming by."

"Oh, well I guess he was just taking a walk." she said

Then we walked outside and Steven ran up to her.

"Ready to come to my place?" he asked

"What do you mean?" she asked

"Well, don't you want to hangout with me?" he asked

"I have to go somewhere with my family." she said

"Wow, your lieing to me?" he asked

"She isn't lieing, I'm coming wih her because our families are friends, any more questions?" I said

"No, and Mack, lets hangout tomorrow." he said calmly

"Okay." she said

After that he left and we went to the pool.

A couple hours later we went back home. Steven was waiting by her front step.

Steven's POV

This Hayes guy is not going to steal my girl. If she stops spending time with me then I should just go out with someone else. I should call Lindsey over to my house tomorrow and tell her that I could go out with her. She is really popular, and prettier than Mackenzie.

I wait by Mackenzie's doorstep until she finally reaches here. She comes up to me and kissed me on the cheek.

"Okay, so tomorrow come to my house at 12:30?" I ask

"Um okay." she says

"Good, see you there." I say

Yea I will see you, crying.

Mack's POV

I come home with Hayes and Steven is on my front doorstep. Are you kidding me? He just wants to tell me when to come? Oh my gosh what if he has something planned for me!!! Obviously it's going to be perfect.

Hayes' POV

As I was leaving Steven walked up to me and said,

"I'm going to hurt her, so she is all yours." He said smirking

"Wait, I have something to tell you too."

He walks up to me and I punch him not too hard in the face.

"Ow man!" he said running back to his house

"Why would you do that Hayes!" Mack says running up to me

"He is going to hurt you!"

"Yea, I think your going to hurt me. Consider us not friends." She said harshly

"I'm saying the truth!"

"Yea and I'm getting a llama, just leae me alone Hayes!!" she said running into her house

I'm saying the truth. Why come she doesn't believe me? I can't lose her as a friend. I like her more than that. Maybe I just have to work my way up to being a friend.

Tomorrow, Sunday 12:30 My best friend is going to get hurt, and I will still be with her no matter what happens.
