It was the Monday after Chaejin's date, during lunch, that Chanyeol finally realized that maybe – just maybe – he was a tad bit jealous.

At first, everything had been alright. Chaejin had called him right after her date to tell him about how well it had gone, and he hadn't felt particularly irked at the time. In fact, he had been perfectly fine (he thought).

However, on Monday morning, when he saw Jongin and Chaejin walk into the school building together with their hands interlocked, he had felt the strange urge to bodyslam Jongin into a nearby locker. Then, again, after seeing the two walking in the hallway, their eyes never leaving each other, Chanyeol had the even stranger urge to run Jongin over with his pick-up truck.

Anyway, the point is that Chanyeol was a tad bit jealous.

Just a tad.

"I love you," Yixing now cooed affectionately from his seat beside Chanyeol at the cafeteria table. The latter looked over at him to see that he wasn't talking to a person, but to the plate of chicken nuggets that sat in front of him. "I love every single one of you."

Sehun, who was seated on Yixing's other side, made a face; one which was duplicated by Minseok from across the table. The four boys were seated without the rest of the team today, which was something they did occasionally. As much as they loved basketball, they also needed time away from the team to spend as best friends.

Minseok then looked down at his own tray, the food anything but appealing. "Can you cut that out? It's weird."

Yixing looked up at Minseok, only to shrug. "It's not my fault the lunch lady loves me."

"I think she loves you a little too much," Chanyeol spoke up, vividly remembering a time where he witnessed the older woman outright flirting with Yixing. Of course, it had flown over his precious little head as he thought she was just being nice. The memory made Chanyeol shudder.

Yixing shrugged again. "Hey, at least I get food that I actually like– aw, fucking hell, Sehun!"

Minseok snorted out a laugh as Yixing now stared down at the nuggets in disgust. Sehun, who had just finished sneezing all over them, sniffled as he wiped his already red nose with a napkin. He then gave Yixing an apologetic look. "Sorry, I'm sick."

Letting out a disappointed huff, Yixing abruptly got up, his seat mates watching as he grabbed his now infected tray of chicken nuggets before disappearing in the direction of the lunch lady.

"How'd you even get so sick?" Chanyeol inquired, turning his attention from Yixing's retreating figure to Sehun, who was busy heavily breathing through his mouth. Though, upon hearing Chanyeol's question, he seemed to get a bit startled.
