Park Chanyeol, basketball team captain and idiot of the year, was having a severe mid-life crisis at the ripe old age of eighteen.
He was, dare I say it... constipated.
Emotionally constipated, that is, which is exactly why he was sitting, upright and tense, on one of the couches in the bowling alley. Clutching a pink bowling ball to his chest, he absentmindedly watched Yixing throw his ball over into another lane for the second time with a heavy thud. Sehun's peels of laughter echoed throughout the space soon after.
Of course, Chanyeol would have found the situation funny, as well... you know, if his mind hadn't been preoccupied with conflicting thoughts of Han Chaejin and Kang Jangmi.
The three days following him and Jangmi miraculously getting back together had proven to be somewhat stress (and jealousy) free. He had been busy with basketball, and Chaejin had been busy with theater, so the two rarely saw each other. The lack of interaction lead Chanyeol to believe that he most definitely didn't like Chaejin, and that what he had been feeling prior to that time was just plain worry for his friend.
After finally interacting with Chaejin again, though, all of the weird emotions from before had come crashing back down without warning, and now he wasn't quite sure what to do with himself.
"Nice one, Yixing," Sehun now called out sarcastically, comfortably stretched out on the other couch paralleling that on which Chanyeol sat. The three of them were currently playing a match against each other – one that Chanyeol was severely losing, not that he cared much at that point. Minseok was supposed to participate, as well, but he had gone off somewhere with Jongdae not long after the five of them had arrived at the alley.
Yixing, who had originally been scrambling down the lane in an attempt to nab his bowling ball, quickly halted and turned to glare at Sehun. "At least I can throw the ball without breaking one of the ceiling lights!"
At that, Sehun frowned. "That was one time!"
"But you shattered four lights!" Yixing exclaimed, throwing his hands up dramatically. Behind him, the bowling ball hit four pins in the neighboring lane before vanishing with them.
Sehun's eyebrows were now closely knit together in a deep scowl as he threw himself off the couch, walking towards Yixing as menacingly as he could manage. "Keep talking and I'll shatter you like I did those lights!"
"Ooh, I'm so scared," Yixing snorted out. "What are you gonna do, call your soccer player girlfriend to come hurt me– ah!"
Sehun abruptly started running towards Yixing, causing the latter to let out a yelp in surprise before he dashed off. Oblivious to the commotion, Chanyeol stayed confined within his thoughts, barely even noticing the argument as he asked himself some serious questions.
