As Sebastian became lost in his never ending thoughts, Augustus waved a pale hand in front of his light brown eyes, brining him back to reality.

"Babe, you've been really out of it since I came back from my mission the other night. Is there something wrong?" The Inkling worriedly looked over his boyfriend for any sign that would tell him what the matter was. Sebastian fluttered his eyes and straightened up before he answered.

"Just a bit worried about Xander..."

"You must have scared him pretty badly if he still hasn't been back here since that night. Have you tried getting in contact with him to apologize?"

"He won't respond. No matter what I say, he just ignores it." The Octoling sighed as he sadly gazed at Xander's contact in his phone.

"Here, let me see what you exactly said to him. Maybe you're wording it wrong? I know you're still kinda struggling with writing in our language." As Augustus was reaching for the device, Sebastian yanked it up to his ear, catching the Inkling off guard.

"N-no! I-I mean... You and Xander have helped me through everything since day one... I want to be able to do something myself for a change. I'm sorry... I-I hope you're not upset..."

Even though Sebastian can barely write a proper sentence in the Inkling language to save his life, he really did not want his boyfriend to see what he actually wrote to Xander. Smiling sweetly at the shorter agent, Augustus got up from his spot on the couch and planted a kiss on the Octoling's forehead.

"My cute little Sebastian.. being all independent! Just remember, I won't tease if you change your mind. I'm gonna take a shower real quick. Need anything before I go?" Sebastian shook his head slowly, deep in thought.

"No, I'm good. See you in a bit. Love you." He kissed the Inkling's cheek before snuggling into the corner of the fluffy couch. Augustus chuckled at the sight before him.

"Love you too, Sebastian." He walked to the back of the apartment to grab some things before taking his shower.

The Octoling watched as his boyfriend closed the door to the bathroom, making sure he wouldn't come out anytime soon. Once he knew he was alone, Sebastian pulled out his phone and clicked on his messages. He opened the chat between him and Xander.

Sebastian: Xan? Can we please talk about the kiss? I am not angry with you, I promise! Please do not feel ashamed either. I just want to see you again.

That was sent hours ago, yet he still did not receive a response; underneath the text, a time stamp with the word "read" appeared. The Octoling sighed as he defeatedly locked his phone and let it fall in his lap.

I guess he's ignoring me now. I wish he wouldn't... He's still my friend, and I care for him so much... I hope we'll be able to talk soon.

Feeling much too tired and stressed from the past couple of days, Sebastian decided to go to bed. He knew Augustus wouldn't mind if he went without him. The Inkling had always been so understanding of pretty much everything; his trusting nature was such a relief to the other.

Thinking about his boyfriend's trust, the Octoling couldn't help but to feel guilty over the fact he lied to keep the kiss between him and the other Inkling a secret. He could feel the panic and fear radiating off Xander as he stood next to Augustus; Sebastian felt awful for him and wanted to help in any way possible. However, he didn't mean to lie to Augustus in the process; it just kind of happened without him realizing it.

The Octoling sighed as he settled into the bed, deciding to tell his boyfriend the truth tonight. He deserved to know. Sebastian hoped nothing bad would come out of this. He wasn't completely sure if Augustus is the jealous type, but no one had ever really tried to challenge their relationship before.
