"Write your letters in the sand for the day I take your hand, in the land that our grandchildren knew..."

Brian's '39 played through the record player off of Night at the Opera. It was my favorite song of his, I liked the swinging beat.

"Brian, dear?" I asked from the couch.

"Yes?" He replied from the kitchen. He was cleaning up our dinner.

"Will you...teach me guitar?" I hesitantly asked, afraid of his reaction.

"I thought you'd never ask!" He came around the corner and kissed the back of my head. "Are you sure, y/n? You never try new things..."

"Of course I am, Brian!" I rolled my eyes. "I want to know how you do it so beautifully!"

"Alright then," he chuckled. He gave me his electric guitar—unplugged—and took the acoustic for himself.

"You trust me with the Red Special?" I asked in disbelief.

"Of course I do, love. Plus, it's easier to push on the strings, and I reckon you'd want that." He was right, the easier the better.

He taught me the names of the strings, and how to play simple chords. I very slowly transitioned from a G chord to an E minor. "Brian, how in the world do you manage to play the riffs you do?"

"Practice, y/n," he laughed. "Lots and lots of it." He looked into my eyes as he explained how long he has been playing for and how he creates his riffs. He began to explain more, but I couldn't focus on that. I was too invested in his dazzling hazel eyes. Swimming in them was like getting lost in a forest filled with the most magnificent tress ever seen. I couldn't take it anymore, so I had to kiss him to shut him up.

He was hesitant at first, since he was confused, but he slowly melted into the kiss, and I could feel him smile. Simultaneously, we took the guitar straps off and set the guitars aside so we could have a make-out session. I can't ever get anything done with this man, he's too distracting. His large mass of brown curls and hazel eyes, the way he always wears his shirts tucked in...you think I can stand that?

"Y/n," he said, pulling away. I shifted uncomfortably, along with him. "I...need to...want to...ask you something."

"Yes, Brian? Is everything alright?" He nervously nodded. "You're frightening me."

"No, it's not..." he stuttered, but then quickly got up, and went searching for something in the entertainment stand. I kept quiet.

He shoved whatever he had grabbed in his back pocket very discretely, and sat back down next to me.

"Y/n..." he started. "I uh...have only three words to say right now."

"And that is?" I asked nervously.

"I...and" he went slowly, then let out a deep breath and said, "I and love and you." He steadily reached into his back pocket and pulled out a small wooden box, that had "I and Love and You" engraved on it. Tears pricked my eyes. He tightly held my hand, opening it with his finger. It was a silver band with a large black diamond surrounded by two smaller ones.

"Y/n..." he let out, looking into my eyes, smiling. I let out a chuckle. "Will you marry me?"

My face was obviously soaked in salty tears, and I was speechless. I nodded.

"Use you words," he said, grinning. I laughed.

"Yes. Yes!! Oh, bloody hell, I love you!!" I said, kissing him. He pulled away to put the ring on my left hand. "Oh, Brian, it's beautiful," I complimented, fingering it.

"Just like you."

I nodded and connected his lips to mine again. His kiss was soft and loving, just like himself. I most definitely want to marry this man.
