"Oh y/n, it's as beautiful as you, darling!" Brian and I were announcing our engagement to his band mates, and they—particularly Freddie—were ecstatic about it.
"Thank you, Freddie," I smiled at him.
"Yeah, it's about time Bri finally proposed," Brian rolled his eyes at Roger's comment.
"When will you have the wedding?" John asked, trying to hide his excitement.
"We um, we don't really know," I answered.
"We haven't really thought about that much," Brian confessed. "We've been to focused on the fact that we will."
"Well, consider this," Freddie proposed, pouring us glasses of champagne, "It's July now, think about six months. That's January, isn't it?"
I winced. I don't love winter. Freddie's reasoning made sense, six months away, but winter wasn't very appealing. The cold, biting wind, the possible snow that prevents anybody from getting anywhere, the dull, lifeless nature...winter just isn't my dream season.
"We'll think about it, thanks Fred," Brian answered, aware that I didn't fancy winter.
The topic faded, as we shared more glasses of champagne and discussed other things. It was about six pm, so Bri and I decided to head home.
"Think about the wedding, dears! I can't wait to hear about it!" Freddie shouted as we waved goodbye.

"So," Brian said, attempting to break the silence in the car on our war home, "What do you think about what Fred said? You know, about the wedding?"
"Oh," I sighed. "I...don't know. I don't really like the winter, summer is my favorite. But I wouldn't want to wait a whole year to get married. I love you too much for that."
He chuckled. "Well, what do you dislike about winter so much?"
"I just don't enjoy the cold. You have to bundle up in layers upon layers, there's snow, there's no natural life, it just seems so...dead." I explained it to him, and he only shrugged.
"How about you think about it like this," he suggested, "The snow is all sparkly and soft once there's a nice snowfall, when the sun shines, everything is blue, and white, and shiny, you like those colours, don't you?"
I nodded.
"And possibly January? It's the beginning of a new year, you can start your new year by marrying my cute arse." I laughed, he really is a cute arse.
"Of course when you say it, you make it sound so wonderful."
"It will be, no matter what."
"Okay. Maybe I do want a January wedding," you confessed, and smugly smirked.
"You don't have to, love! I was just explaining how you can look at winter as beautiful, not horrible."
"I know, but, it would make Fred real happy if we took his advice, and now come to think of it, winter sounds...lovely."
"You sure, y/n?"
"I'm sure, Brian. I just want to become Y/n May faster," you laughed at yourself, making him do the same.
"I love you, so much," he said, briefly closing his eyes on the 'so', since he had to look at the road still. I leaves over and kissed his forehead.
"I love you too, Bri. And in January..."
"We're getting married," he finished.
