Jodie's mindset was everywhere at this particular point. Keyaan was right, she does know him. She knew that the love he had for her ran deep but what was she suppose to do when he told her something but the evidence shown said something else. It was hard to believe.
Dropping her bags on her floor, Jodie slowly walked to her room. She could feel her heartbeat slowing. She missed him already but she wasn't about to be a victim of cheating anymore.
Finally making it to her bed, Jodie curled up in the middle of it and cried. That's all she could do. She was really emotional now and days but she had good reason to be.
Jodie didn't realize that she had dozed off until her phone started ringing.
Hesitant to pick it up, she looked at the screen first. China Doll 💋.
Giving herself a second to pull herself together, Jodie took a deep breath and pressed the green button.
"Hello?"
"Hey boo, Keyaan just came over. Everything okay? I've never seen him like this before."
Clearing her throat, Jodie nodded. "Um, yeah. We just kind of got into it. I need space away from him right now. I'm not in a good head space right now."
"You need me to come cheer you up? I don't know what the issue is but I do know that whatever it is, y'all will find a solution, ya heard?"
"I'm just kind of confused right now. I don't know how to go about it. I need me time."
"Ok girl, just know that I'm here. I can't not see my bitch for too long." Her laugh sounded through the phone which made Jodie crack a small smile.
"I know. Thanks for calling China. I'll see you soon."
"Okay boo. Stay safe." She blew a kiss through the phone before hanging up.
Jodie was grateful to have a friend like China. She kept great company and always made sure that Jodie was good and comfortable wherever they were.
Figuring that she should get up and do something with her life she settled on cooking a meal for herself then maybe binge watch Being Mary Jane on Netflix.
