Kai and Steve listened quietly as men were pulled back to be examined, while they were reading the newspaper.

" Boy, a lot of guys getting killed over there," Steve commented.

" Means we need to hurry our ass's up and get over there," Kai said causing Steve to wince at her language.

" Rogers, Steven."

" Monroe, Kai."

Kai stands up waiting for Steve to put down his newspaper.

" It kind of makes you think twice about enlisting, huh?" The man next to us said," Especially you Miss."

" Nope." The two replied together.

Kai starts walking towards the man who called her name holding back a laugh when he sees her instead of a guy.

The Doctor opened the curtain and allowed her in so he could examine her.
Kai was starting to get cold because she was only in men's boxers and a tank top.

" Monroe. What did your father die of? "

" Lung Cancer. He was in the hundred and seventh infantry."

" Your Mother?"

" She was a nurse her base got ambushed and she was killed."

The Doctor looks at Kai's file which shows that she's perfectly healthy. He then looks up a young lady in front of him hoping he won't lose his job because of this.

" Congrats, Monroe." He said watching as the girl smiled.

" Thank you, Sir. " Kai said as he stamps accepted on her file.

He just nods and opens the curtain allowing the girl to leave with a smile on her face.

As she steps out she sees Steve standing there waiting for her with a sad smile on his face.

" You didn't..?" Kai asked getting a nod in return from the smaller man.

She nodded quietly.
