Kai sat up in the tall pine tree watching as the herd of Moose moved around the side of the frozen lake. She had been watching them since they had arrived earlier that morning, and had found interest in watching the majestic beast. She hadn't ever seen one much less a herd of them up close ever.

Kai played contently with the small blue energy ball she had created while watching them, throwing it back and forth between her hands or letting the blue tendrils flow through her fingers. She smiled watching a mother nudge her calf's lovingly forward as the two fought playfully.

Kai hadn't thought about having children or settling down at all since before Hydra. Now she knew it wasn't even an option, she was damned to a life of solitude and loneliness. But she knew deep down that she deserved it in the end.

She is thought not entirely willing killed dozens of innocent, well some innocent, people all to protect the man she cared for. The man who didn't even remember her name or anything else.

And her age was a problem too. She was 90 years old but still looked 25, it honestly scared her a bit sometimes. After getting out she looked up what had happened to her friends. Most got married had a few kids and were now either dead or in nursing homes.

All except one.

If Kai were there when he thought about putting that plane into the water she would've wacked him over the head. She understood why he did it, of course, being the noble and heroic person he was, but she didn't understand why he didn't just circle back around and park it.

Then again she couldn't argue much because she would've done the same thing.

If he hadn't of went down in the Atlantic Kai knew he and Peggy would've gotten married and had a few kids, maybe name them in honor of her and Buck.

But, that never happened, just like her and Bucky never did.

Kai shook her head letting those thoughts leave her mind and travel back to where ever they came from before paying attention down the herd. As she looked at the herd she had to do a double take.

There were two blobs a few hundred yards away from her and the herd. One was a familiar redheaded looking one and next to that was a dusty blonde blob.

She shook her head with an annoyed sigh, " Fucking really Fury? Can I not just live and die in peace? No? Figures."

Yes, she knew about S.H.E.L.I.D and Nick Fury. It was hard not to snoop around and causally hack into the organization. After separating from Natalia a few years back she found out not long after there encounter that; an Agent by the name of Clint Barton had given her the chance of turning to the light side. Keeping her promise she took the offer and has been with them ever since.

Glancing back at the pair of blobs she noticed they were now closer than a herd of Moose which was the only thing separating them now.

Kai shook her head clicking her tongue, " Kids these days. Alright, I'll make it a little easier for you children."

Kai easily teleported to a tree near where the two were standing crouched down.

" Fury said she was last sighted here in this general area two nights ago Natasha, she could easily be anywhere in the world right now, " Barton said looking to his Redheaded partner and friend.

Natasha shook her head, " Knowing her she could but she also likes to stay in a place for a few days."

Kai nodded in agreement, she had to give it to her former student, she defiantly was the best assassin to come from the Red Room. But that was a disadvantage for her at the same time.

" Nat look at them aren't they cute?" Barton asked looking at the herd.

Kai let out a snort of laughter then instantly regretted it as the two assassins froze in there spots. Loading their weapons they looked in every direction for the sound.

" Someone's here, " Natasha said to her partner who nodded in agreement.

" Wow, " Kai said sarcastically clapping while looking down at the two Assassins, " I would've never thought of that! You two really are the best Assassins in the world."

As the two looked up Clint shot an arrow up at the female who easily stopped it letting her blue wisp catch the arrow, before letting it float back down into the ground.

" Honestly people need to stop shooting first and asking questions later. It's starting to become a problem really. Don't you agree? "

Clint and Natasha just looked up at her before Clint turned to his partner.

" This is the deadly Assassin who taught you almost everything you know? " He asked before looking up at the brunette.

Kai let out an offended scoff putting her hand on her chest in shock, " Listen here bird boy, I may be 90, but I'm not deaf or dead... Yet."

The man looked back up at her with a hardened glare, " I'm not a "bird boy"."

Kai looked down at him for a second before throwing her head back in laughter, " Ha please Bird Boy, your code name is Hawkeye. A Hawk is a bird and you are a male, " Kai said before looking back down at him, " At least I think you are."

Clint just shook his head as Natasha let a ghost of a smile cover her face at her former Teacher, even after everything she was still her sarcastic self.

" You know why we're here?" Natasha asked Kai holstering her weapons and motioning for Clint to do the same.

" Yes, Fury wants me. For what I don't know but I know he's wanted me for a while. "

Natasha nodded, " Are you going to come willingly or are you going to fight? "

Kai looked down at the two Assassins then to the herd of Moose before letting out a sigh, " They'd want me to get out of this mess and try to fix it if they were here. So why not? I'm sure it'll totally be fun."

Clint looked to Natasha confused but she shook her head looking up at Kai, " Are you going to come down now?"

Kai rolled her eyes with a smile, "Yes маленький паук. Jeeze you sound like a mother."

Clint let out a laugh, " You have no idea."

Kai jumped down from her branch and looked at Clint with an arched eyebrow, " Oh really? That bad Barton?"

Clint's eyes widened at the fact she knew his name but ignored it and nodded, " It's usually a lot worse than this."

Natasha glared at the two with her arms crossed over her chest, " Are you done? It's cold and Fury wants her back as soon as possible. "

They nodded and started to walk towards the quinnjet the two used to get there in the first place.

" But I thought the cold never bothered you, Nat?"

" Barton, " Natasha started glaring, " Shush up a child or she'll stab you in your sleep." Kai finished as they entered the jet.
