Eddie panted as he sprinted through the dark arena, attempting to dodge the person running after him. His breathing was ragged and his lungs were puffing in and out, begging for air, as he made his mad dash to the corner of the large room. His bright red "Health Light" shone on his chest, demonstrating what team he was apart of. As Eddie ran, he began to question why he let Richie convince him to play laser tag in the first place, as he had major asthma and his anxiety skyrocketed as soon as he lost sight of Richie, despite the fact that Richie was on the blue team. Eddie was now stuck running away from someone on the green team, trying not to lose. He zig zagged through the obstacles and hiding places until he came to a skid due to the fact that he was now face to face with a wall corner. He turned around quickly, but gasped when he found the green team member standing directly in front of him. The male smirked at Eddie and aimed his gun at the small boy's chest target, but before he could actually shoot at Eddie, a buzzer sounded as his health light turned yellow, signaling he had been hit. "What the fuck? Who hit me?" The guy turned around, flipping off the darkness in front of him.
A figure appeared out of the darkness, curly hair wild, and eyes sparkling with amusement. "I did, kiddo," Richie let out a deep chuckle, causing Eddie to blush. "Go man, you're out," Richie teased, shooing him in the opposite direction. The boy once again flipped him off but grumbled while walking away from his recent target.
"Do you have to enter so dramatically?" Eddie teased, leaning against the firm wall behind him.
"If it impresses you then it's all worth it," Richie grinned, stepping towards Eddie.
"Well it didn't impress me," Eddie stated, sticking out his tongue.
"Is that anyway to talk to your night-in-shining-armor?" Richie clucked his tongue, still slowly approaching Eddie.
"My hero," Eddie mimicked sarcastically.
"You're welcome, Princess," Richie cooed, paying no attention to Eddie's joking tone.
"Ew don't call me that," Eddie gagged.
"You love it."
"I assure you I don't."
Richie rolled his eyes and took the last step forward, making him face to face with the Kaspbrak boy. Richie cupped the side of Eddie's face, leaning in to press their lips together. Eddie sighed contently into the kiss, backing into the wall. Richie chuckled, pressing him up against the wall while moving his other unmoving hand to Eddie's hip. The kiss was deepened by Eddie wrapping his hands in Richie's wild hair and tugging, sending Richie's heart into a frenzy. Eddie was about to press himself even closer to Richie but was interrupted by a loud buzzer sound and flashing yellow lights. Eddie broke away and glanced down, noticing that his health meter was flashing yellow. Eddie then trailed his eyes to Richie's hand, noticing that the laser gun was pointed directly at Eddie. "You bitch," Eddie growled.
"Princess, it had to be done. I have to win," Richie laughed evilly.
Eddie glared at the taller boy and without another word, stalked away, swaying his hips in a sassy-like manner. "Darling!" Richie called behind him, but Eddie just kept walking, thinking about ways to get him back later.
__
Eddie sat in the laser tag lounge, waiting for Richie to finally get out so they could go home. He picked at his painted finger nails, uninterested in the commotion around him and bored as all fuck. "Um hey," A high-pitched voice chirped.
Eddie looked up and faked a smile at the girl in front of him. She had blonde hair, russet orbs, and a stretched pink smile. "Hi," Eddie bit his lip nervously and glanced around, longing for the feeling of safety that his beloved trashmouth enveloped him in.
