𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥 𝟙𝟛-𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕣 𝕗𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕝𝕪

Richie glared at Mike as he stepped forward to shake Eddie's hand.

"Eddie Kaspbrak," Eddie shook his hand nervously. 

Mike reached out to shake Richie's hand, causing Richie to scowl but nonetheless take his hand and give it a firm shake. Mike glanced at Eddie again, causing Richie to almost growl. Eddie shied away from Mike's gaze and scooted towards Richie, seeking comfort. Richie wrapped his arm around Eddie's shoulders as Mike introduced himself to Bill. Karen smiled at Eddie. "So, we know about your weak heart, and we want you to know that we are prepared to pay for everything to help you," She smiled. 

Richie felt himself relax at the confirmation, a smile creeping onto his face. "Are you one of Eddie's friends?" Karen asked Richie, wiggling her eyebrows as she glanced at Richie's close proximity to the small boy in the hospital bed. 

Richie chuckled at her tone and nodded, making Eddie blush furiously. "So, doctor, do you know when he'll be ready to check out his new home?" Karen asked. 

"In a few days, we will have to get medication sorted out. Also, I would keep that one close," The doctor nodded towards Richie, "Kaspbrak has panic attacks very often, and it seems as Mr. Tozier is the only one who can calm him down." 

Richie felt his heart blow up with warmth at the thought of him being Eddie's personal savior. Karen nodded, "Richie, dear, would you be okay with staying the night for the first few days while Eddie adjusts?" 

Richie nodded, as Eddie scrunched up his nose, not liking how they spoke as if he wasn't there. Karen then announced her and her family would be leaving to get Eddie and Bill's room ready. Bill stood up and  declared he was going to pack up him and Eddie's stuff. That left Richie and Eddie in the hospital room together. Eddie kicked off his blankets in a fit of restlessness, growing grumpier by the second. 

"Easy, tiger," Richie chuckled, watching from his chair as Eddie sat up and huffed. "What's wrong, darling?" Richie soothed, getting up to stand by the hospital bed. 

"I've been cramped up in here all day. My legs are screaming at me to move." 

"Then I suggest we do something to waste your energy," Richie smirked as he climbed onto the bed, over Eddie. Eddie hummed happily as Richie pressed his lips against Eddie's. Eddie tangled his hands in Richie's hair, trying to speed up the pace of the kiss as quick as he could. "Someone's eager," Richie chuckled against Eddie's lips, moving his hand underneath Eddie's hospital gown. Eddie squirmed as Richie's warm hand rested on his stomach, sending chills down his spine. Eddie let out a small sound as Richie moved his lips from his mouth to his neck, sucking and biting where he could. Eddie sighed contently as Richie found his sweet spot. Richie then parted ways with Eddie's neck and looked down at his masterpiece. There were a few colors dancing around Eddie's neck, signaling that Richie had done a decent job marking him. Richie grinned happily, knowing that everyone would know that Eddie already had someone. Richie rolled off of Eddie and squished himself in between his boyfriend and the bed railing. Richie turned on his side, opening his arms to invite the Kaspbrak boy in. Eddie happily snuggled up to Richie, nuzzling his face into his chest and tangling their legs together, ensuring both of them would stay put. 

"Hey uh Eddie, my mom wanted-" Mike began as he stepped into the room but then froze as his eyes collided with this sight in front of him. Eddie shot up from Richie's grasp, eyes wide and filled with fear. Richie then got up from the bed, stalking over to Mike. Mike backed up but then realized Richie wasn't heading towards him at all. Instead, Richie walked to the door and closed it, turning back around. 

"Mikey boy, lets have a chat shall we?" Richie chirped, placing his hands on Mike's shoulders to steer him to the chair in the corner of the room. Richie pushed him into the chair and placed both hands on either side of the chair, staring right into Mike's eyes.
