*8 years later (Eddie is 24 and Richie is 25)*

"Eds, love, I'm home," Richie called, opening the large wooden door to his home. He took a few strides and set down his work bag, groaning as he stretched a bit. Richie walked across the wooden floor and paused, glancing into the living room, where his three most favorite people were laughing and playing with dinosaur figures. Eddie turned around at the sound of his voice, his sweet doe eyes meeting Richie's tired ones.

"Rich," Eddie grinned, standing up to stride over to him. Richie welcomed Eddie by wrapping his arms around his waist and pressing a sweet kiss to his lips. Eddie stood on his top toes to deepen the kiss, but stopped as he felt a tug on his orange t-shirt.

"Daddy," The little girl at knee height squealed.

"Charlotte," Richie chuckled, picking up the small girl and placing her on his hip. He pressed a small kiss to her cheek, causing her to giggle and throw her arms around his neck. Her dark brown hair hung to her small hips and her blue eyes sparkled with amusement. Her dark skin was smooth and highlighted her eyes beautifully.

"Fuck you," A small voice rang from the living room.

"Carson," Eddie turned and scolded, looking at the small boy peaking out from the couch. His brown eyes glistened with mischief as his shaggy black hair hung near his orbs. His skin matched Charlotte's, the only resemblance between the two siblings.

"Don't talk like that," Eddie snapped, placing his hand on his hip.

Carson glared but sat back on the couch, turning to resume watching his TV show. Richie frowned but continued chatting away with Charlotte, as Eddie watched with adoration as his partner and 4-year old daughter talk about their days.

"Dad made cupcakes," Charlotte chirped, pointing to the kitchen.

"Sugar-free," Eddie stated, crossing his arms while Richie rolled his eyes playfully.

"Eds," Richie chuckled, ruffling Eddie's hair before walking towards the kitchen to fetch a cookie.

"How was work?" Eddie asked, following and taking a seat in a chair facing the kitchen counter.

"Boring," Richie shrugged, "I missed you."

"I missed you more."

"Doubt it," Richie smiled softly, setting Charlotte down on the counter.

Richie then picked up a cookie from the plate on the kitchen island and plopped it into his mouth, chewing happily. "Delicious, darling," Richie said, walking around to press a sloppy kiss to Eddie's cheek.

Eddie giggled, wiping off his saliva from his cheek. "Dad!" Charlotte called out, reaching out to Eddie.

"I'm coming, Char," Eddie laughed, walking around to pick her up swiftly.

"Carson," Richie called from the living room. Eddie entered the living room to see Richie plopping down on the recliner near the grumpy 6-year old.

"No," Carson growled, flipping Richie off.

Richie pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, shaking his head in frustration. "Carson," Eddie snapped, glaring at him.

Carson frowned but looked at his father. "Sorry," He grumbled.

"Cars, why don't you tell daddy why you're upset today?" Eddie suggested, sitting down carefully on the sofa.

"I got sent to the principals office," Carson grumbled.
